Review and Update Mobile Dictation Data

You can review and update the mobile dictation data documented and sent to NextGen® Enterprise EHR through NextGen® Ambient Assist or any dictation software, such as NextGen® Mobile, NextGen® Direct-to-Desktop, or other third-party solutions.

1. On any appropriate template, select the NG Mobile link.
   The NOS NG Mobile template opens.

   Note: The NG Mobile link is blue until mobile dictation data is documented. After you enter information on the NOS NG Mobile template and return to the current template, the NG Mobile link turns purple.
2. Review and update the dictation data.
   Note: To update dictation data in a panel, you can modify the existing data in the field or use My Phrases.
3. To associate the dictated results with an internal radiology order from the Diagnostic Interpretation panel, do one of the following:
   • If radiology orders are configured to automatically update to Interpreted when marked as Performed, select the appropriate order from the left grid to mark it as Performed, and then select it again to mark it as Interpreted and associate the dictated results.
   • If radiology orders are not configured to automatically update to Interpreted, select the appropriate order from the left grid to mark it as Interpreted and associate the dictated results.
   The Findings and Impressions fields on the Radiology Order Management template are updated with a message prompting you to view dictation data.

4. Optional: To copy dictation data from a previous encounter, select Get Data, and then select the appropriate encounter and dictation data from the IORTS NGMobile Cdf window.
   Note: You can add a dictation data type only once to the current encounter. For example, if you select the HPI option from an encounter, you cannot select it again from another encounter.
5. Select Save & Close.
   Note: If you document data on the NOS NG Mobile template before using dictation software, the documented data is replaced by the dictation data when it is sent to NextGen® Enterprise EHR through the dictation software.
