Edit Streaming Dictation in the Text Box

Before you begin To view the dictation text box, you must turn off the Hide Streaming Text option in Settings. Note: You can edit the dictated note using keyboard and verbal commands when the transcription of the dictated note is completed. Open NextGen® Mobile. Open a dictation job.The streaming text box opens displaying the Record Dictation message. Record your dictation.The dictation text capture appears in the streaming text box. View the dictation text in the text box.You can use vertical scrolling for long text that extends beyond the text box's view. On the text box, select the location where you want to add or change text. To edit dictation, do one of the following: Use the keyboard to delete or insert text. Use NextGen® Mobile verbal commands to edit a text. Select a word or a block of text, and use the commands on the context menu to edit text. NextGen Mobile Dictation Streaming Workflow

With NextGen® Mobile dictation streaming, you can do the following: Dictate your job with or without displaying the streaming text. You can edit the dictated note using keyboard and verbal commands when the transcription system processes and completes the transcription of the dictated note. If you have macros set up for your dictator profile, you can use them to quickly insert snippets of text into your dictation. You can attach images to your job. You can make annotations on the attached images and add text boxes to the images. When you are ready to transmit your job, you can select an edit option that controls how your job is handled when you transmit it, and whether it returns to you for additional review. You can choose from several clinical workflow options, including sending to NextGen® Enterprise EHR, sending to transcription, or performing a device edit. Documenting SOAP Clinical Notes

In Today's Visit in Patient Chart, you can select Dictate to document and complete clinical notes. In Subjective, Objective, Assessment, and Plan (SOAP) Notes, you can dictate your notes using a microphone, add blocks of text with documentation accelerators like Copy Forward or Macros, or enter and edit notes using a keyboard. On completing the SOAP notes, you can send the notes to NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Today's visit view You can use SOAP Settings to modify your SOAP sections in SOAP Note. What happens when NextGen® Mobile closes suddenly without warning? When NextGen® Mobile closes, your device is disconnected from the desktop you are connected to. The NextGen D2D window displays a message about the disconnection and prompts you to reconnect. You can follow the steps for pairing your NextGen® Mobile to get connected again. What happens when NextGen® Mobile disconnects? When NextGen® Mobile disconnects, a message appears indicating that you are disconnected, and you can reconnect. On reconnecting, NextGen® Mobile is automatically connected to most recent paired desktop that is currently active and available. If there are no active desktops available, you can do one of the following: Open a paired desktop to make it active and then connect. Pair a new desktop and connect. Dictate with NextGen® Direct-to-Desktop

Before you begin You must turn on Auto Launch Speech Box in Settings > Edit Dictator to automatically open the speech box when you connect to NextGen® Direct-to-Desktop. By default, the Auto Launch Speech Box option is turned off. After pairing your desktop with NextGen® Mobile, you can use NextGen® Direct-to-Desktop to dictate into NextGen® Enterprise EHR, Speech Box, Notepad, or Microsoft Word®. You can place the cursor where you want to enter data, and start dictation in NextGen® Mobile. Open NextGen® Mobile. On Hub, select D2D icon. If Auto Launch Speech Box in Edit Dictator is turned off, you can open Speech Box manually with the Open Speech Box voice command. NextGen® Direct-to-Desktop Overview

The Direct to Desktop functionality is available in NextGen® Mobile version 9.0.0 or later. To view Direct to Desktop in NextGen® Mobile, you must ensure the following: You are a NextGen® Mobile plus and streaming user. You belong to a permission group that has the Access to Mobile Hub option turned on in NextGen® Mobile Cloud Portal. You can use Direct to Desktop to dictate text directly to NextGen® Enterprise EHR. You can also dictate to text editor applications, such as Microsoft® Word or Notepad, and Speech Box in NextGen D2D. You must install the NextGen® Direct-to-Desktop (D2D) application on the desktop where you have installed NextGen® Enterprise EHR 5.9.0 or later.
