Review and Update Mobile Dictation Data

You can review and update the mobile dictation data documented and sent to NextGen® Enterprise EHR through NextGen® Ambient Assist or any dictation software, such as NextGen® Mobile, NextGen® Direct-to-Desktop, or other third-party solutions. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. To open the Select Template window, do one of the following: From the Encounters or Categories tab, select Open Template. From the top toolbar, select Templates . Select File > New > Template. From the Medical Records tab, select All, and then select NGMobileDictation.The NGMobileDictation template opens. Note: If you have configured the NGMoble Dictation – Copy template, you can also open it to review and update the dictation data. To review and update the dictation data, do any of the following: To copy information from a previous encounter to the current encounter, select Copy Dictation. Review and Update Mobile Dictation Data

Dictating When the Text Box Is Open

If you have the appropriate permission, you can use the Hide Streaming Text option in the Settings view to turn on and off the text box while dictating. When the text box is open while recording, you can view your dictation text with the dictation streaming workflow. NextGen® Speech-to-Text does not record and process the dictated note in the following situations: If you select the back button or open other windows while recording the dictation or processing the dictated note. If the internet connection is lost. You can use your device keyboard or the built-in NextGen® Mobile verbal commands to edit the content that appears in the text box. Document Patient Information Before a Visit

You can document patient information for an appointment before the actual visit. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. To open the Select Template window, select File > System \ Practice Template. Select the Practice tab, select All, and then select Pre Encounter Documentation from the list.The Pre Encounter Documentation template opens. Note: Appointments from NextGen® Enterprise PM with the KEPT and BOOKED statuses appear in the Pre Encounter Documentation template. Optional: Filter the appointments in the grid by location and other options. Note: To add information to completed appointments, you must open the respective patient chart and make the necessary changes. Optional: To view the records in the grid and prevent the Pre Encounter SOAP window from opening when you select a record, select Row Select Opens Chart. Copy Reasons for Visit from Previous Encounters

You can copy reasons for a patient's visit from previous encounters to the current encounter instead of manually adding them. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Intake template, and then expand the Reason for Visit panel. Select HPI History. The Historical Information - HPI window opens. Note: The records are displayed for the default duration configured in the Copy Previous Visit Information section of the Practice Configuration template. To filter the records in the grid, enter the search criteria in Filter by, and then select Search. Note: If the records are displayed from any sensitive encounter, an asterisk (*) appears on the record in the Sensitive column to help you decide whether to copy such records and update the current encounter as sensitive. Configure Preferences for Copying Data from Previous Encounters

You can configure the preferences to copy the historical physical exams, review of systems, reasons for visit, and assessments from any previous encounters to the current encounter. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Practice Configuration template. Optional: In the Copy Previous Visit Information section, update the default duration of the historical information. Copy Previous Visit Information Section To copy the historical physical exams, review of systems, reasons for visit, or assessments, select the respective checkbox. Note: If you clear a checkbox, you can only view the historical information from previous encounters. To display a label on the templates or documents, indicating that the information is copied from previous encounters, select the respective checkbox. Select Save and Close.
