Join Your Visit

Before you begin

Make sure you're in a private room with reliable Wi-Fi® or cellular service.
Review the Devices and Connection Guide at Patient Resources.
Before your visit, run a quick test on your device at Run Quick Video and Audio Test.

Note: If you have questions regarding your health care needs, payment, or scheduling, contact your provider's office.

From the NextGen Virtual Visits™ confirmation or remainder emails or text message you received, select Join Visit, or copy and paste the URL into your browser.
Optional: To make sure you are using a supported device, select Test My Device before you join the visit.
On your virtual visit page, select from the language list, and then select Check-in.
On Terms and Consent, review and select the necessary checkboxes, and then select Next.
Select from the Patient Location list, select Next, complete the intake questions, and then select Next.

Note: The intake questions appear only if they apply to you.
On Signature, review the patient relationship and patient details, and then select Submit.
If the patient is a minor, you must enter the Legal Representative information to confirm your relationship with the patient and agree to the terms on behalf of the patient.
Optional: To complete the payment before joining your visit, follow the on-screen instructions.
Select Join Visit.

Note: In group virtual visits, if your provider has not yet joined the visit, a message appears indicating that you can wait for a while and only join the visit after the provider has joined. After the provider joins the visit, the Join Visit option becomes available.
On Click to start your visit, select Start.
Your visit begins.
Optional: To send a message, select the message icon.
Optional: To invite a guest, select Invite Guest, enter the necessary information, and then select Add.
If applicable, select Share your screen.
After your provider approves the request, a message appears prompting you to clear any sensitive information from your screen and then select Share Screen.
Note: This screen sharing option is available only for patients using desktop devices and is not available for visit guests.
Your provider can stop the screen share, or you can select Stop Sharing.
