In-Visit Features in NextGen Virtual Visits™

During your single or group NextGen Virtual Visits™, you can use the following features to enhance your visit.

Turn Your Camera On or OffBy default, your camera is ON when you join a visit.
  • You can turn your camera OFF by selecting Stop VideoStop Camera icon.
  • You can turn your camera ON again by selecting Start VideoStart Camera icon.
Virtual Video Background on DesktopYou can select your video background during a visit by selecting the Virtual Background icon. You can also blur video background by selecting Blur icon.
Virtual Video Background on MobileYou can blur your video background during a visit by selecting options, Options and then selecting Virtual Background Blur icon. You can switch back to normal background view by selecting Virtual Background Blur icon.
Switch Your Desktop CamerasYou can switch the default camera by selecting the list next to the camera icon Stop Camera icon in the main visit controls and then selecting Switch Camera Switch Camera icon.
Switch Your Mobile Device CameraYou can switch the default camera on your mobile device by selecting Options Options from your main visit controls, and then selecting Switch Camera.
Mute /Unmute Your MicrophoneBy default, your microphone is ON when you join a visit.
  • You can mute your microphone during a visit by selecting Mute Mute icon.
  • You can unmute your microphone during a visit by selecting Unmute Unmute icon.
Switch Desktop Audio ConnectionsYou can switch your desktop audio connections by selecting the list next to the microphone button in the main visit controls, and then selecting Switch Audio Connection. Select the audio source you want to use from the list.
Send / Receive Chat MessagesYou can send chat messages to exchange information such as medical phrases and terms, or helpful website links. A red dot appears when your chat contains new message.
  • You can open the chat panel by selecting the chat icon icon.
  • You can open chat on a mobile phone by selecting Options Options and then selecting Chat.
Share DocumentsYou can share documents with patients during visits. When shared, documents are sent to all participants in the chat. Patients can then download the documents during the visit and/or receive the documents in an email following the visit.

This feature is available to both support users and scheduled users. The document sharing feature is supported only on computers with a Chrome™ or Firefox® browser.

You can select the Share document Share document icon icon to share a document, and then search for one of your documents or a practice document you have marked as a favorite or upload a document.
Share your ScreenYou can use screen sharing to jointly review information during a visit, such as NextGen® Enterprise EHR documentation or lab results.

This feature is available to support users, scheduled users, and patients. The screen sharing feature is supported only on computers with a Firefox® or Chrome™ browser.

You can select Share your screen icon to share your screen.
