You can create letters in any of the supported correspondence languages by writing the letter and then copy and paste the letter into a letter type using multi-language letter functionality. The application does not translate letters. Each letter must first be created in the Default language of English.
The letter types include appointment reminders, recall notices, demand account, demand encounter, and budget letters.
Letters can be set up and printed in the following supported correspondence languages:
- Arabic (AR)
- Chinese (ZH)
- French (FR)
- German (DE)
- Hindi (HI)
- Italian (IT)
- Japanese (JA)
- Korean (KO)
- Persian (FA)
- Polish (PL)
- Portuguese (PT)
- Russian (RU)
- Spanish (ES)
- Vietnamese (VI)
When publishing letter types for patients, NextGen® Enterprise PM determines the patient's language by checking the correspondence language entered in the Correspondence Language field on the tab. The letter types can be previewed and printed in the patient's preferred correspondence language.
- When the preferred correspondence language feature is turned on for appointment reminder, recall, demand account, demand encounter and budget letters, you can print and preview the letters in their associated language.
- The export letter functionality can be used for letters only written in English. You cannot export letters written in one of the supported correspondence languages.
