Group Scheduling can be used by practices that render services in a group setting. For example, a clinic may provide education, support, counseling or therapy sessions to various groups of patients.
When Group Scheduling is enabled for a practice, you can create a group that includes specific patients. Then a single group appointment can be scheduled that automatically creates a separate appointment for each patient in that group. In addition, at check-in a single group encounter can be created that automatically generates separate encounters for each patient in the group.
