Setup Access Rights for Group Scheduling

To work with patient groups, group appointments, and group encounters in NextGen® Enterprise PM and NextGen® Enterprise EHR, users must have security access rights in System Administrator.

  1. Access System Administrator.
    The NextGen System Administrator window opens.
  2. On the left, select to expand an enterprise and then a practice.
  3. Select a user group within the practice.
  4. Select the Rights tab.
  5. To enable users to add or modify Patient Groups in NextGen® Enterprise PM and NextGen® Enterprise EHR, do the following:
  6. Select to expand Operations, and then select Patient Group.
  7. In the Access Rights section, select Yes.
  8. To enable users to schedule Group Appointments in NextGen® Enterprise PM, do the following:
    1. Select to expand Modules, then expand Scheduling, and then select Appointments.
    2. In the Access Rights section, select Add.
  9. To enable users to create Group Encounters in NextGen® Enterprise PM and NextGen® Enterprise EHR, do the following:
    1. Select to expand Operations, then expand Encounters, and then select Add Patient Encounter.
    2. In the Access Rights section, select Yes.
  10. To save changes, select Update.
