Add a Patient Group

To add a patient group in NextGen® Enterprise PM or NextGen® Enterprise EHR, do the following: Open Patient Groups. The Patient Group Search window opens. Search for a Patient Group. If the group you are searching for is not listed in the Matching Records section of the Patient Group Search window, do one of the following to add a new group: Select New. Select Open Menu and select New. Right-click and select New. The Patient Group window opens. On the General tab, enter general information for the group. Select the Members tab to add members to the group. To save changes and close the window, select OK. Note: The Appointments tab is blank when a new patient group is added. For an existing patient group, the tab displays future group appointments scheduled for the group. Accessing Patient Groups

In NextGen® Enterprise PM, you can access patient groups by doing one of the following: From the Tasks menu, select Patient Group. From the Appointment Book toolbar, select Patient Group. In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, you can access patient groups by selecting the File menu and then selecting Patient Group. Modify a Patient Group

To modify a patient group in NextGen® Enterprise PM or NextGen® Enterprise EHR, do the following: Access Patient Groups.The Patient Group Search window opens. Search for a Patient Group. In the Matching Records section of the Patient Group Search window, select a group to be modified and then do one of the following: Select Open. Select Open Menu and select Open. Right-click and select Open. The Patient Group window opens. On the General tab, modify general information for the group. Select the Members tab to do any of the following: Add members to the group. Access Patient Information for a member in the group. Remove members from the group. Transfer members from the group to another group. Add a member to an existing group appointment. Access Patient Information for a Member in a Patient Group

From the Members tab on the Patient Group window, you can access the Modify Patient Information window for a member in the group. Access Patient Groups Accessing Patient Groups. Set Up New Patient Groups

Before you begin Before you can use the patient group feature, you must set up at least one patient group and at least one Medical Records Group template or Medical Records Group Popup template. After you create a patient group, you can create a group encounter and then access the group template to enter relevant details for the group encounter. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select File > Patient Group. In the Patient Group window, select New Group. In the New Patient Group window, enter the group name and notes, if applicable. Select Add. From the Patient Group list in the Patient Group window, select the group you created. Available patients appear in the Non-Member Patients section. You can search for specific patients or for all patients for a selected provider. To search for all patients for a provider, do the following: Enter the provider's last, first, and middle name.
