Add a Patient Group

To add a patient group in NextGen® Enterprise PM or NextGen® Enterprise EHR, do the following: Open Patient Groups. The Patient Group Search window opens. Search for a Patient Group. If the group you are searching for is not listed in the Matching Records section of the Patient Group Search window, do one of the following to add a new group: Select New. Select Open Menu and select New. Right-click and select New. The Patient Group window opens. On the General tab, enter general information for the group. Select the Members tab to add members to the group. To save changes and close the window, select OK. Note: The Appointments tab is blank when a new patient group is added. For an existing patient group, the tab displays future group appointments scheduled for the group. Accessing Patient Groups

In NextGen® Enterprise PM, you can access patient groups by doing one of the following: From the Tasks menu, select Patient Group. From the Appointment Book toolbar, select Patient Group. In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, you can access patient groups by selecting the File menu and then selecting Patient Group. Add a Member to an Existing Group Appointment

You can add a member to existing future group appointments scheduled for the group. For example, assume three group appointments are scheduled for the Anger Management patient group. John Doe wants to join the patient group and attend two of the group appointments. You can add John to the Anger Management patient group and create appointments for him for the selected future appointments . Open the appointment book. Select Patient Group on the toolbar. The Patient Group Search window opens. Search for and open the desired patient group. Select the Members tab where the patients in the patient group are displayed. To add a member to an existing group appointment, select the check box for the patient, select Open Menu, and then select Add to Existing Grp Appt. The Add Member to Existing Group Appointments window opens. In the Upcoming Appointments section, select the check box for group appointments the member should be added to. Access Patient Information for a Member in a Patient Group

From the Members tab on the Patient Group window, you can access the Modify Patient Information window for a member in the group. Access Patient Groups Accessing Patient Groups. Add Patients to a Patient Group

You can add patients to a group. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and then from File, select Patient Group. On the Patient Group Search window, enter the Group Name and select Search. Select the desired group, and then select Open. The Patient Group [Group name] window opens. Select the Members tab. Select , and then select Add a Member. Enter the last name of the patient, and any other distinguishing data, and then select Find. Double-click the patient's name. The patient's name appears in the Member List. Select OK. Setup Access Rights for Group Scheduling

To work with patient groups, group appointments, and group encounters in NextGen® Enterprise PM and NextGen® Enterprise EHR, users must have security access rights in System Administrator. Access System Administrator. The NextGen System Administrator window opens. On the left, select to expand an enterprise and then a practice. Select a user group within the practice. Select the Rights tab. To enable users to add or modify Patient Groups in NextGen® Enterprise PM and NextGen® Enterprise EHR, do the following: Select to expand Operations, and then select Patient Group.
