Remove Members from a Patient Group
The Members tab on the Patient Group window enables you to remove patients from the group. You can also manage existing future group appointments for the removed members.
- Access Patient Groups.
The Patient Group Search window opens.
- Search for a Patient Group.
- From the Matching Records section of the Patient Group Search window, select a group and then do one of the following:
- Select Open.
- Select Open Menu
and select Open.
- Right-click and select Open.
The Patient Group window opens. - Select the Members tab.
The Member List displays all patients in the group with the following information:
- Name
- Home Phone
- Birth Date
- Medical Record Number
- Date Added
- Programs
- Expired Indicator (Y or N); Expired patients display in red text.
Note: Programs display for a patient when their Program Enrollment Date is on or before the current system date (today) and their Program Discharge Date is on or after the current system date or blank. - To remove a member from the group, select the check box for the patient and then select Open Menu and select Remove Member.
The patient is removed from the Members tab.
- To remove additional members from the group, repeat step 5.
Note: You can remove multiple members at the same time by selecting the check box for two or more patients before selecting Open Menu and selecting Remove Member.
- To save changes and close the window, select OK.
Members are removed from the patient group.
If the group has future group appointments scheduled, the Manage Appointments for Removed Members window opens.
The Members removed from group section lists all patients removed from the group.
The Remove Members from Group Appointments selected below section lists all future group appointments scheduled for the group. Appointments are listed with the following information:- Date/Time
- Event
- Resource
- Location
- In the Remove Members to Group Appointments selected below section, do the following:
- Select the check box for group appointments the removed members should be removed from. All appointments are selected by default.
- Deselect the check box for group appointments the removed members should not be removed from.
- In the Reason for appointment cancellation field, select a reason from the drop-down list. This field is required.
Note: This field appears only if the Track cancellation reason check box is enabled in Practice Preferences > Appt Scheduling.
- To save changes and close the window, select OK.
The removed members are removed from the selected group appointments and the individual appointments are canceled for each member.Note: If you select Cancel instead of OK, a prompt appears informing you that appointments for removed members will need to be canceled manually.
