Add, Remove and Transfer Members in a Patient Group

The Members tab on the Patient Group window enables you to add, remove and transfer patients in a group all at the same time. You can also manage existing future group appointments for the added, removed and transferred members. Access Patient Groups. The Patient Group Search window opens. Search for a Patient Group. From the Matching Records section of the Patient Group Search window, select a group and then do one of the following: Select Open. Select Open Menu and select Open. Right-click and select Open. The Patient Group window opens. Select the Members tab. The Member List displays all patients in the group. Add members to the group. Remove members from the group. Transfer members from the group to another group. To save changes and close the window, select OK. Members are added to and removed from the patient group. If either the group members were transferred from or the group members were transferred to has future group appointments scheduled, the Transfer Members window opens

Remove Members from a Patient Group

The Patient Group Search window opens. Search for a Patient Group. From the Matching Records section of the Patient Group Search window, select a group and then do one of the following: Select Open. The Member List displays all patients in the group with the following information: Name Home Phone Birth Date Medical Record Number Date Added Programs Expired Indicator (Y or N); Expired patients display in red text. Note: Programs display for a patient when their Program Enrollment Date is on or before the current system date (today) and their Program Discharge Date is on or after the current system date or blank. Transfer Members from One Patient Group to Another

The Members tab on the Patient Group window enables you to transfer patients from the group to another group. You can also manage existing future group appointments for the transferred members. Access Patient Groups. The Patient Group Search window opens. Search for a Patient Group. From the Matching Records section of the Patient Group Search window, select a group and then do one of the following: Select Open. Select Open Menu and select Open. Right-click and select Open. The Patient Group window opens. Select the Members tab. The Member List displays all patients in the group To transfer a member to another group, select the check box for the patient and then select Open Menu and select Transfer Member. Note: You can transfer multiple members at the same time by selecting the check box for two or more patients before selecting Open Menu and selecting Transfer Member. You can add a member to existing future group appointments scheduled for the group. For example, assume three group appointments are scheduled for the Anger Management patient group. John Doe wants to join the patient group and attend two of the group appointments. You can add John to the Anger Management patient group and create appointments for him for the selected future appointments . Open the appointment book. Select Patient Group on the toolbar. The Patient Group Search window opens. Search for and open the desired patient group. Select the Members tab where the patients in the patient group are displayed. To add a member to an existing group appointment, select the check box for the patient, select Open Menu, and then select Add to Existing Grp Appt. The Add Member to Existing Group Appointments window opens. In the Upcoming Appointments section, select the check box for group appointments the member should be added to. You can add a member to an existing group encounter if needed. For example, a group encounter was already created from a group appointment for all patients that were marked as kept, and then another patient arrives for the appointment. You can add that patient to the existing group encounter. Access the Appointment Book. From the Daily, Weekly List, Weekly Schedule or Multi-View view, select an individual appointment that was scheduled as part of a group appointment. Right-click and then select Open > Group Appointment. The Edit Group Appointment window opens. In the Associated Member Appointments section on the right, select to select the appointment for the member to be added to the group encounter. Select Open Menu and then select Add to Existing Group Enc. An individual encounter is created for the member, the encounter is linked to the member's appointment, and the encounter number appears in the Associated Member Appointments section of the Edit Group Appointment window.
