Add a Credit Card on File Using Key Method

NextGen® Pay powered by InstaMed processing provides you with the option to store credit card data in the application using a unique token ID. You can view the saved credit card data for a patient on the Credit Card on File tab of the Account Profile window. A push-pin icon appears on the Credit Card on File tab when the patient has an active credit card on file. In NextGen® Enterprise PM, select Account. The Account Profile window opens. Select the Credit Card on File tab. To add a new credit card, select open menu and then select New. A window opens asking you to choose the method to save the credit card data. Note: If there are existing practice preferences and no user preferences are selected, the payment processing is done as follows: For practices with a single MID- The NextGen® Pay powered by InstaMed web form opens on your default browser and you can enter the credit card number. The payment processing enables you to accept credit card and Echeck payments when you have an active connection to the internet. Automatic Payment Collections

The Automatic Payment Collections (APC) feature is an integrated billing collection process you can set up with NextGen® Pay powered by InstaMed. APC enables your practice to bill a patient's credit card or checking account based on the statement cycle set up in Practice Preferences. Your practice can process automatic payment collections on outstanding patient balances after insurance has paid their amount up to agreed upon maximum per statement. The NextGen® Enterprise PM APC features offers you benefits which include. Guaranteed and improved patient revenue with automatic payments Cuts cost as there are no print and Email statements. Collect ECheck Payments With a Check Scanner

You can process an ECheck payment by using a check scanner. When using a check scanner patient information and check information automatically populates on the NextGen® Pay powered by InstaMed web form. Before you can use a check scanner to apply a payment, the following requirements must be met: The check scanner is setup by NextGen® Pay powered by InstaMed on the Portal Configuration page. An Image Safe Check Scanner is attached to the workstation. The user has system administration rights to enter payments. An active batch is set. Refer to Print a Credit Card Receipt for information on printing a credit card receipt. Swipe or Insert a Credit Card to collect a Payment

NextGen® Pay powered by InstaMed enables you to collect payments from patients by swiping the credit card, inserting the card (EMV chip), or keying in the card details. Note: You must activate a batch before processing a patient's payment. To open thePayment Entrywindow, do the following: InNextGen® Enterprise PM, clickPosting. TheBatch Postingwindow opens.
