Collect ECheck Payments With a Check Scanner

You can process an ECheck payment by using a check scanner. When using a check scanner patient information and check information automatically populates on the NextGen® Pay powered by InstaMed web form.

Before you can use a check scanner to apply a payment, the following requirements must be met:
  • The check scanner is setup by NextGen® Pay powered by InstaMed on the Portal Configuration page.
  • An Image Safe Check Scanner is attached to the workstation.
  • The user has system administration rights to enter payments.
  • An active batch is set.
