Send Password Reset Email to a Patient

You can send a password reset email with the account user ID to an active NextGen® PxP Portal patient. The patient can use the password reset email to change the account password and secret question. Note: For security reasons, the practice can view only the patient's user ID, not the password. Log on to Practice Portal. To open the Patient Dashboard page, search for and select a patient. In the Patient Utilities section, select Send Password Reset Email to Patient.A message appears to indicate that the password reset email is sent to the patient. Search for a Patient and Update Email and Mobile Number

You can use the search filters on the Patient Search page in Practice Portal to search for active and inactive NextGen® PxP Portal patients. Log on to Practice Portal. On the My Home page, in the left pane, select Patient Search.The Patient Search page opens. The Patient Search page provides options for filtering your search To define the scope of your search, enter the values in one or more of the filters, then select Search for Patient.The Search Results section displays the patients matching your search criteria. You can select a patient to view the Patient Dashboard. Note: You can select New Search to reset your search criteria. The Search Results page displays the name, social security number, birth date, and email address for each matching patient To update a patient email or mobile number, do the following: In Patient Dashboard, select Edit next to Mobile Number or Email, make the necessary changes, and then select Save. Reset Multi-Factor Authentication for Patients

You can reset the multi-factor authentication for your patient so that they can update their mobile number and email address when they log on to NextGen® PxP Portal. Log on to Practice Portal. To open the Patient Dashboard page, search for and select a patient. In the Patient Utilities section, select Reset Multi-factor Authentication.A message appears to indicate that the multi-factor authentication has been reset for patient. Activate NextGen® PxP Portal Account

When a patient visits a practice, the practice creates a patient account in NextGen® Enterprise EHR or NextGen® Enterprise PM and sends the enrollment invitation to the patient's registered email. If the mobile number is available, the invitation is also sent through a text message. The patient must activate the NextGen® PxP Portal account to access their health records and communicate with their practice. From the NextGen® PxP Portal enrollment email or text message you received, select Sign Up or copy and paste the URL into your browser.A verification page opens. Enter your ZIP code and date of birth, and then select Continue.The Create Security Details page opens. Set Practice Users or Groups as Recipients

On the NextGen® Enterprise PM main toolbar, select the Mailbox button. From the list in the upper-right corner of the window, select Patient Portal. Important: The Patient Portal option does not appear in the list if your NextGen® PxP Portal license is not available or has expired. A list of patient portal folders appears in the left pane. A list of messages appears in the right pane. Select the New Message button.. The Patient Portal Message window opens. Select the arrow on the To button, and then select Add User(s).The Select users and groups window opens. Enter the name of the user or group, and then select Search.
