Managing Phrases

Use the INF My Phrases Mng template to build and manage your custom phrases used throughout the NextGen® Therapy Suite templates. The phrases are user-specific. You can add, update, or delete phrases, search by Category, View deleted or System sets, and copy phrases from other users. My Phrases

By using My Phrases, you can increase efficiency by saving the phrases you frequently type in patient comments. On the INF My Phrases Mng template, you can build and save your own phrases or System Set phrases or copy phrases from other providers. Then, when you are entering patient data, you can quickly insert the saved phrases into the comment fields. You can also save phrases on the fly when you are typing comments into fields. When My Phrases is available for a field, a down arrow button and plus sign button appear in the upper right above the field or to the right of the field. The down arrow opens My Phrases where you can select previously saved phrases. The plus sign adds a phrase that you have typed in the field to your phrase set for that category. Add a My Phrase

Click the down arrow to open the My Phrases template. The template opens showing phrases saved for the category (template) it was opened from. Do any of the following: To select your own phrases, check the Show Mine check box. To select phrases added by the rendering provider, check the Show Rendering check box. To select other user's phrases, check the Show Other check box and select the other provider whose phrases you want to use. To select system set phrases, check the Show System Set check box. To select multiple sets of phrases, select more than one check box. INF My Phrases Select template Select the desired phrase(s) from the grid to add them to the Comments field. Once you are satisfied with your entries, click Save & Close. Note: You cannot change rendering provider’s phrases, another user’s phrases, or System Set phrases. You can only use them. Add Comments

You can enter text directly into the field or enter saved phrases from a “My Phrases” set. Select the My Phrases link above the field. The INF MyPhrases Select template opens and displays phrases you have saved (Show Mine) for that Category. For example: subjective, objective, and plan. INF MyPhrases Select template opened from My Phrases link To see and select: Phrases added by the rendering provider, check the Show Rendering checkbox. Another user’s phrases, check the Show Other checkbox, and then select the field to choose the other user whose phrases you want to use. System Set phrases, check the Show System Set checkbox. Multiple sets of phrases, select more than one checkbox. Note: You can use phrases other than your own, but you cannot change them. Double-click a phrase to move it into the Comments field of the INF MyPhrases Select template. When you are finished adding phrases, select Save & Close. Copy Phrases from a User

You can copy one or more phrases from another user’s My Phrase category set to your set. By copying phrases, you can quickly add phrases to your list and have a positive impact on continuity of care. On the INF My Phrases Mng template, select Copy From User. Copy From User button The INF My Phrases Copy template opens. The Phrase Type and Category display values based on the template where you selected Manage My Phrases. INF My Phrases Copy template In the grid below Filters, find phrases to copy from other sets by user and category. If you need to change the phrase type, select the Phrase Type field, and then select a different one. To list phrases from a specific user, select the Copy From field, and then select the user from the list. You can also select the asterisk (*) to list all users. Copy Phrases

You can copy phrases to your My Phrase sets from another user’s set. Click the Copy From User button on the INF My Phrases Mng template. INF My Phrases Copy template The INF My Phrases Copy template opens. Filter the left-hand grid by user (Copy From) and Category to find phrases. To change the user, click the Copy From field and select a user from the list. Enter an asterisk (*) to see all users. To change the category, click the Category field and select a category from the list. Enter an asterisk (*) to see all categories. Copy either all or specific phrases as follows: To copy all phrases for a given category or user, select that category or user in the Copy From or Category field, select and click the right arrow. All phrases move to the My Phrases List grid. To move specific phrases from another user, select that user in the Copy From field, and then click on each phrase that you want to copy.
