Using My Phrases

When the My Phrases functionality is available for a field, My Phrases and Manage My Phrases links appear above the field. Select the My Phrases link. The My Phrases template opens showing phrases you built for the category (template) it was opened from. Note: The Category field defaults to where “My Phrases” is accessed from. It cannot be changed. INF MyPhrases Select template To see and select: Your own phrases, check the Show Mine checkbox. Phrases created by the rendering provider, check the Show Rendering checkbox. Other users’ phrases, check the Show Other checkbox, and then select the field to select the other provider whose phrases you want to use. System Set phrases, check the Show System Set checkbox. Multiple sets of phrases, select more than one checkbox. Note: You can use phrases other than your own, but you cannot change them. Double-click a phrase to move it into the Comments field in the My Phrases window. After you finish adding phrases, select Save & Close. The phrase

Add Comments

You can enter text directly into the field or enter saved phrases from a “My Phrases” set. Select the My Phrases link above the field. The INF MyPhrases Select template opens and displays phrases you have saved (Show Mine) for that Category. For example: subjective, objective, and plan. INF MyPhrases Select template opened from My Phrases link To see and select: Phrases added by the rendering provider, check the Show Rendering checkbox. Filter Phrases on the My Phrases Select Template

You can filter the phrases displayed in the grid on the INF My Phrases Select template to use them. Open the INF MyPhrases Select template. To view your own phrases, select the Show Mine check box. To view phrases added by the rendering provider, select the Show Rendering checkbox. Note: By default, the rendering provider's name is displayed in the corresponding field. To view other user's phrases, select the Show Other checkbox, and then select the name of the provider whose phrases you want to use. To view system set phrases, select the Show System Set checkbox. Managing My Phrases and Common Phrases

You can create frequently used phrases for your own use. You can also use phrases available for other users or system set phrases available for all users. You can use the My Phrases feature to save your time to document a patient's history, exams, assessments, and plans of care by adding frequently used phrases. When the My Phrases feature is applicable for a field, the Down Arrow and Plus icons or My Phrases and Manage My Phrases links appear for that field. You can select the icons or links to open the INF MyPhrases Select and INF My Phrases Mng templates respectively. Manage Phrases

You can update or delete your own phrases and modify the phrase text and name of the existing phrase to create another one. You cannot update or delete phrases of the rendering provider and other users. If you are a super user, you can update or delete the system set phrases. A super user is the person who maintains the standards and configurations for the practice. Open the INF My Phrases Mng template. Filter the phrases in the grid as needed. Select the phrase to be updated or deleted from the grid. The details of the selected phrase are filled in the corresponding fields. To update the phrases, update the details in the fields, and then select Update. To add the selected phrase as a new one without updating the original, update the details in the fields, and then select Add. To delete the selected phrase, select Delete. Use Phrases to Document Information

You can use phrases available for you, rendering provider, other users, or all users (system set phrases) to quickly add information in the fields associated with the My Phrases feature. Open the INF MyPhrases Select template. Filter the phrases displayed in the grid as needed. Select the phrases to be added from the grid. The selected phrases are added to the Comments field. Select Save & Close. The phrases from the Comments field on the INF MyPhrases Select template are added to the corresponding field on the template.
