My Phrases

By using My Phrases, you can increase efficiency by saving the phrases you frequently type in patient comments. On the INF My Phrases Mng template, you can build and save your own phrases or System Set phrases or copy phrases from other providers. Then, when you are entering patient data, you can quickly insert the saved phrases into the comment fields. You can also save phrases on the fly when you are typing comments into fields. When My Phrases is available for a field, a down arrow button and plus sign button appear in the upper right above the field or to the right of the field. The down arrow opens My Phrases where you can select previously saved phrases. The plus sign adds a phrase that you have typed in the field to your phrase set for that category. Using My Phrases

When the My Phrases functionality is available for a field, My Phrases and Manage My Phrases links appear above the field. Select the My Phrases link. The My Phrases template opens showing phrases you built for the category (template) it was opened from. Note: The Category field defaults to where “My Phrases” is accessed from. It cannot be changed. INF MyPhrases Select template To see and select: Your own phrases, check the Show Mine checkbox. Phrases created by the rendering provider, check the Show Rendering checkbox. Other users’ phrases, check the Show Other checkbox, and then select the field to select the other provider whose phrases you want to use. System Set phrases, check the Show System Set checkbox. Multiple sets of phrases, select more than one checkbox. Note: You can use phrases other than your own, but you cannot change them. Add a My Phrase

Click the down arrow to open the My Phrases template. The template opens showing phrases saved for the category (template) it was opened from. Do any of the following: To select your own phrases, check the Show Mine check box. To select phrases added by the rendering provider, check the Show Rendering check box. To select other user's phrases, check the Show Other check box and select the other provider whose phrases you want to use. To select system set phrases, check the Show System Set check box. To select multiple sets of phrases, select more than one check box. INF My Phrases Select template Select the desired phrase(s) from the grid to add them to the Comments field. Once you are satisfied with your entries, click Save & Close. Note: You cannot change rendering provider’s phrases, another user’s phrases, or System Set phrases. You can only use them. Build My Phrases

On the INF My Phrases Mng Template, click the Category Filter field. The INF MyPhrases GetTypes window opens. Select the category (template) and click OK. The phrase is now available only to the current user and the Scope column displays User. To save the phrase as a system set, select the System Set check box. Type a name in the Name field, which describes the phrase. Note: This field is required. Enter the text of the phrase in the My Phrase field. You can type up to 1000 characters. Click Add to add the new phrase. Repeat steps 2-6 until you have added all phrases that you want to add. Click Close. Parent topic: My Phrases Management

Copy Phrases from a User

You can copy one or more phrases from another user’s My Phrase category set to your set. By copying phrases, you can quickly add phrases to your list and have a positive impact on continuity of care. On the INF My Phrases Mng template, select Copy From User. Copy From User button The INF My Phrases Copy template opens. The Phrase Type and Category display values based on the template where you selected Manage My Phrases. INF My Phrases Copy template In the grid below Filters, find phrases to copy from other sets by user and category. If you need to change the phrase type, select the Phrase Type field, and then select a different one. To list phrases from a specific user, select the Copy From field, and then select the user from the list. You can also select the asterisk (*) to list all users. Add New Phrases

Select the Manage My Phrases link above any field where it appears. Manage My Phrases link above a comments field The INF My Phrases Mng template opens. The template shows the section it was opened from in the Category Filter and Category fields. INF My Phrases Mng template To select another category, select the Category Filter or Category field. The INF MyPhrases GetTypes picklist opens. Choose a new category, and then select OK. In the Name field, enter a name for the phrase. Enter the phrase in the My Phrase field.
