Pre-staging PT/OT Treatment in the Rapid Flowsheet Template

In the Rapid Flowsheet Worklog and Rapid Flowsheet templates, you can quickly document physical or occupational therapy treatment for a patient including exercise details, average pain, and SOAP (Subjective, Objective, Assessment, and Plan) comments. You can use the templates to do the following:

  • View and filter patient appointments for today or the next clinical day.
  • If your system is configured for pre-staging, save time by entering visit data before the patient comes into the clinic for a booked appointment scheduled for today or the next clinical day.

Pre-staged data is stored until the patient is checked in. If the patient misses the appointment and does not reschedule, the system automatically deletes the pre-staged data at the end of the day. However, a rescheduled appointment retains its pre-staged data if both of the following conditions are met:

    • Rescheduling occurs within 24 hours of the original appointment date.
    • The new appointment is within 6 days of the original one.
  • Switch between patient charts quickly and enter exercise details and comments. For example, while you are working with patients in the therapy clinic, you can document an exercise for one patient in the Rapid Flowsheet template, close the flowsheet, and then select a different patient in the worklog so that you can document their treatment.
  • Copy exercises and comments from the most recent encounter in the case with an appointment. You can also enter new exercises and comments.
  • Finalize the flowsheet data and send the information to the patient's chart.

When you open the NTS Single Visit template, the information documented on the flowsheet is automatically imported to the template, unless there is a conflict that requires your review. Afterward, you can complete the visit documentation in the NTS Single Visit template, sign off on the chart, and submit charges.
