Enter Treatment Exercises in the Rapid Flowsheet

You can enter treatment exercises during an appointment or in advance to prepare for a patient's appointment. Open the NTS Rapid Flowsheet Worklog template, and then select an appointment row in the grid. The Rapid Flowsheet template opens. The patient’s name, sex, and birthdate appear in the panel headers. The Treatment panel displays a compact view of the grids from the NTS Treatment template. Note: Based on your configuration, the grid may automatically display the treatment exercises from the last visit so that you can continue with those exercises. Pre-stage Therapy Treatment

Before you begin Your practice must be configured to use the Rapid Flowsheet Worklog, and the patient must have an appointment for the current day (today) or the next clinical day. Open the NTS Rapid Flowsheet Worklog template by doing one of the following: Open a patient chart, select an encounter, and then, select the Rapid Flowsheet link on the Patient Information Bar. Your administrator must configure the link to appear on the bar. From the menu bar, select File > System\ Practice, and then on the Practice tab, select NTS Rapid Flowsheet Worklog. Open the NTS Homepage or NTS Single Visit template, and then select the NTS Rapid Flowsheet Worklog subnavigation link. The NTS Rapid Flowsheet Worklog template displays all patient appointments for the current day (today) that have a BOOKED or KEPT appointment status. Add Exercises from Exercise Sets or the Patient's Last Encounter

You can quickly add treatment exercises in advance of or during a patient appointment by doing the following: Selecting a saved exercise set. Copying exercises from the last encounter within the case where exercises were documented. Open the NTS Rapid Flowsheet Worklog template, and then select an appointment row in the grid. The Rapid Flowsheet template opens. If the location is configured to automatically copy exercises from the last encounter, the exercises appear automatically in the exercise grid. This automatic copy occurs only once. Add treatment exercises to the exercise grid by doing the following: To copy exercises from the last encounter, select Copy Last Exercises. Note: Exercises that were marked as done in the last encounter are automatically marked as D (Done) in the grid. Selecting Copy Last Exercises more than once copies the exercises again, and you must clear the fields to start over. Add SOAP Comments to the Rapid Flowsheet

In the Rapid Flowsheet template, you can enter SOAP (Subjective, Objective, Assessment, and Plan) comments for a patient's treatment by typing them and by using saved template entries (My Phrases text). You can also review comments from previous encounters and copy them to today’s visit. To save time, you can enter these comments in advance of an appointment with a Booked status. Open the NTS Rapid Flowsheet Worklog template, and then select an appointment row in the grid. The Rapid Flowsheet template opens. The patient’s name, sex, and birthdate appear in the panel headers. Expand the Additional Comments panel to view the SOAP comments fields. Manually enter the comments. To insert saved template entries at the end of any text already in the field, select My Phrases, select a phrase from the list, and then select OK. To append more phrases, select My Phrases again. Note: Although you cannot add or edit saved phrases in the list, you can edit them after you insert them in the comments

Finalize and Send Rapid Flowsheet Exercise Data and SOAP Comments to the Chart

If the appointment status is Kept and you have entered information in the Rapid Flowsheet template, you must finalize the data and send it to today's encounter in the patient's chart. The documentation in the flowsheet can be partially or fully completed. Finalizing the flowsheet data is a one-time action and cannot be undone. Note: You cannot finalize treatment information for a booked appointment. Open the NTS Rapid Flowsheet Worklog template, and then select an appointment row in the grid with a KEPT status to open the Rapid Flowsheet template. If you are satisfied with your entries in the template, select Finalize and Send to Chart. Note: When there are discrepancies between the times and exercises recorded, a notification appears. You must address the issue before finalizing and sending the information to the chart. A confirmation message appears in red text next to the Finalize and Send to Chart button. Select Save & Close. Switch Between Patients While Documenting Their Treatment

With the NTS Rapid Treatment Worklog template, you can switch between patients while you document their exercise details and SOAP comments. For convenience, the worklog retains some of the filters you set when you switch patients. The ability to quickly select another patient in the worklog is helpful when you are providing one-on-one services to multiple patients. The general process is as follows: Open the NTS Rapid Flowsheet Worklog template and set the filters. Select a patient to open the Rapid Flowsheet template. Document an exercise for a patient in the Rapid Flowsheet template. Close the flowsheet to return to the worklog.
