Change Applied Diagnosis Codes

The Dx Codes column in the Charges grid shows any diagnosis codes attached to that line item. The application applies all treating diagnosis codes to all treatment and visit codes listed in the Charges grid by default, and applies to all X-rays only the diagnosis codes selected when the X-ray was placed. You can change which diagnoses are applied to the codes in the grid, however, there must be at least one diagnosis attached to each code entry, or the application fires an alert and prevents you from submitting charges. Add a Diagnosis Code for Diagnosis

Select OK on the alert message. Select the procedure billing details in the grid. The data appears in the corresponding fields above the grid. Do one of the following: Select the Dx Description 1 and select the diagnosis code from the list. Select Cancel on the list. The diagnosis search window opens. Search and select the required diagnosis.The selected diagnosis and the associated code appear in the Dx Description 1 and Code fields respectively. If applicable, repeat the above steps for Dx Description 2 through Dx Description 4 to add additional diagnosis. Note: The diagnosis selected in the Dx Description fields uploads in the Today's Assessments grid on the Add or Update Assessment template. Select Update.If you add additional data in the grid, the Verify Charges button appears in the Procedure Billing panel. Apply Diagnoses to Procedures

To add all selected diagnoses to all procedures in the bottom grid, click the Apply To All button. Any diagnosis with a check mark is added to all procedure in the coding grid. To apply codes to individual procedures, do the following: Select the diagnosis codes desired for the procedure. Select the procedure. Click the Apply Codes button. Manage Diagnosis Codes in a Diagnosis Group

You can remove diagnosis codes and change the order of diagnosis codes in a diagnosis group. On the Specialty Diagnosis Group Config template, expand the Manage Diagnosis Groups and Codes panel. Note: By default, all active diagnosis groups are displayed in the grid of the Add Diagnosis Group section. You can filter the values in the grid by selecting the View Dx groups created/modified today option or entering the desired value in the Show field. Select the desired diagnosis group from the grid of the Add Diagnosis Group section. The results are as follows: The details of the selected diagnosis group are filled in their corresponding fields of the Add Diagnosis Group section. The diagnosis codes associated with the selected group are filled in the Assigned Diagnosis Codes grid of the Assign Diagnosis Codes to Group section. You can update, deactivate, or delete a diagnosis group and copy an existing diagnosis group to create another group. Bill a Procedure

Select Procedure and select a procedure from the list.The list includes procedures selected in the current encounter. A list appears to select a procedure description associated with the code. Select a description from the list. The procedure description and the associated procedure code appear in the Procedure description field and CPT code field respectively. Select Dx Description 1 and select a diagnosis.The associated diagnosis code appears in the Code field. If applicable, enter a diagnosis in the Dx Descriptions 2 through Dx Descriptions 4 fields.
