Manage Diagnosis Groups
You can update, deactivate, or delete a diagnosis group and copy an existing diagnosis group to create another group.
- On the Specialty Diagnosis Group Config template, expand the Manage Diagnosis Groups and Codes panel.
Note: By default, all active diagnosis groups are displayed in the grid of the Add Diagnosis Group section. You can filter the values in the grid by selecting the View Dx groups created/modified today option or entering the desired value in the Show field.
- Select the desired diagnosis group from the grid of the Add Diagnosis Group section.
The results are as follows:
- The details of the selected diagnosis group are filled in their corresponding fields of the Add Diagnosis Group section.
- If you select an inactive diagnosis group, the Delete button appears in the Add Diagnosis Group section.
- The diagnosis codes associated with the selected group are filled in the Assigned Diagnosis Codes grid of the Assign Diagnosis Codes to Group section.
- To update the selected diagnosis group, do the following:
- Update the diagnosis codes in the Assign Diagnosis Codes to Group section as needed.
- Update the diagnosis group details in the fields of the Add Diagnosis Group section as needed.
Note: If you need to make the selected diagnosis group inactive without making any other updates, you can clear the Active checkbox.
- Select Add/Update.
The modified details are updated to the selected diagnosis group.
- To delete the inactive diagnosis group, select Delete in the Add Diagnosis Group section.
Note: You can only delete diagnosis groups that are inactive. If you want to delete an active diagnosis group, you need to update it as inactive, and then delete it.The selected diagnosis group is deleted from the grid of the Add Diagnosis Group section.
- To copy the selected diagnosis group to create another diagnosis group, do the following:
- Enter the new diagnosis group name in the corresponding field of the Add Diagnosis Group section.
- Select Copy.
The results are as follows:
- The existing diagnosis group is copied as a new group, and the new group appears in the grid of the Add Diagnosis Group section.
- The diagnosis codes associated with the existing diagnosis group are copied to the newly created group.
