Assign Diagnosis Codes to a Diagnosis Group

You can assign diagnosis codes to existing diagnosis groups, which are used on medical record templates for documenting patient's assessment.

1. On the Specialty Diagnosis Group Config template, expand the Manage Diagnosis Groups and Codes panel.
   Note: By default, all active diagnosis groups are displayed in the grid of the Add Diagnosis Group section. You can filter the values in the grid by selecting the View Dx groups created/modified today option or entering the desired value in the Show field.
2. Select the desired diagnosis group from the grid of the Add Diagnosis Group section.
   The results are as follows:

   • The details of the selected diagnosis group are filled in their corresponding fields of the Add Diagnosis Group section.
   • The diagnosis codes associated with the selected group are filled in the Assigned Diagnosis Codes grid of the Assign Diagnosis Codes to Group section.
3. Do the following to search for diagnosis codes.
   1. To search diagnosis codes using descriptions, select one of the following options in the Assign Diagnosis Codes to Group section.
      • Starts with. Select this option to search for descriptions that start with the entered keyword.
      • Search anywhere. Select this option to search for descriptions that contain the entered keyword.
   2. Enter the keyword of desired diagnosis description in the Description field or enter the diagnosis code or keyword of the diagnosis code in the Code field.
   3. Select the desired code type.
   4. Select Search.
      The diagnosis codes matching with the search criteria appear in the Search Results grid.

      Note: If you want to clear the search criteria and results and enter a different criteria, you can select the Clear button.
4. Select the desired diagnosis code from the Search Results grid, and select the icon.
   The selected diagnosis code is added to the Assigned Diagnosis Codes grid.
5. To move all the codes from the Search Results grid to the Assigned Diagnosis Codes grid, select the icon.
6. To move assigned diagnosis codes to a specific position, select the diagnosis code from the Assigned Diagnosis Codes grid, and then select the or icon as needed.
7. Select Update.
   The diagnosis codes added to the Assigned Diagnosis Codes grid are assigned to the diagnosis group selected from the grid of the Add Diagnosis Group section.
