Assessment Configuration

You can configure diagnosis groups and codes for patient's assessment on the Specialty Diagnosis Group Config template. you can also manage financial class and payers that accept ICD 9 codes on this template. The Specialty Diagnosis Group Config template has two panels: Manage Diagnosis Groups and Codes Manage Financial Class/Payer Listings Specialty Diagnosis Group Config template Note: Make sure to select IORTS in the Product field for any assessment configuration related to NextGen® Orthopedic Suite. Copy a Diagnosis Group

You can copy an existing group to create a new diagnosis group. When you copy an existing diagnosis group to create a new group, the diagnosis codes associated with existing group also gets associated with the new group. On the Specialty Diagnosis Group Config practice template, expand the Manage Diagnosis Groups and Codes panel. From the Add Diagnosis Group grid, select the desired record. The corresponding details appear in the fields below grid. Enter the new diagnosis group name. You can also update other details, however it is not mandatory. Click Copy. The newly created group appears into the grid and the associated diagnosis codes appear in the corresponding grid. Parent topic: Managing Diagnosis Groups and Codes

Remove a Diagnosis Code from a Diagnosis Group

You can remove a diagnosis code from an assigned diagnosis group. On the Specialty Diagnosis Group Config practice template, expand the Manage Diagnosis Groups and Codes panel. From the Add Diagnosis Group grid, select the desired record. All the assigned codes to selected group appear in the Assigned Diagnosis Codes grid. Select the desired code. The X appears after the selected code. Use the left-pointing arrow to remove the selected code from the grid. Click Update. Parent topic: Managing Diagnosis Groups and Codes

Create a Diagnosis Group

On the Specialty Diagnosis Group Config practice template, expand the Manage Diagnosis Groups and Codes panel. Manage Diagnosis Groups and Codes panel on the Specialty Diagnosis Group Config template Under the Add Diagnosis Group grid, enter the Diagnosis group name and Description in the corresponding fields. Select an age group: Adult/All or Peds (pediatric). Select the Active check box. Click Add/Update. The newly created diagnosis group appears in the Add Diagnosis Group grid. Assign Diagnosis Codes to a Diagnosis Group

On the Specialty Diagnosis Group Config practice template, expand the Manage Diagnosis Groups and Codes panel. From the Add Diagnosis Group grid, select the desired record. Note: To find a newly created group, select the View Dx groups created/modified today option above the grid. The name of selected diagnosis group appears above the Assigned Diagnosis Codes grid. In the Assign Diagnosis Codes to Group section: In the Description field, enter the few characters of desired diagnosis description. For Type, select a code type: ICD-9 or ICD-10. Click Search. The diagnosis codes matching with selected search criteria appear in the Search Results grid. Select the desired diagnosis code from the search results and click Right arrow icon. The assigned diagnosis code appears in the Assigned Diagnosis Codes grid. To move all the codes from Search Results grid to Assigned Diagnosis Codes grid, click Move all icon. Managing Diagnosis Groups and Codes

You can manage diagnosis groups for documenting patient's assessment and manage diagnosis codes in a specific diagnosis group. You can use the Manage Diagnosis Groups and Codes panel of the Specialty Diagnosis Group Config template to create diagnosis groups and assign diagnosis codes to the diagnosis groups. The diagnosis groups are used for documenting the details of the patient's assessment on medical record templates. However, there are some pre-configured diagnosis groups available for you in the Manage Diagnosis Groups and Codes panel. Manage Diagnosis Groups and Codes The Manage Diagnosis Groups and Codes panel has the following sections. Add Diagnosis Group. You can view all existing diagnosis groups, add and update a diagnosis group, copy an existing diagnosis group to create one, and deactivate an existing diagnosis group.
