Copy a Diagnosis Group

You can copy an existing group to create a new diagnosis group. When you copy an existing diagnosis group to create a new group, the diagnosis codes associated with existing group also gets associated with the new group. On the Specialty Diagnosis Group Config practice template, expand the Manage Diagnosis Groups and Codes panel. From the Add Diagnosis Group grid, select the desired record. The corresponding details appear in the fields below grid. Enter the new diagnosis group name. You can also update other details, however it is not mandatory. Click Copy. Assign Diagnosis Codes to a Diagnosis Group

On the Specialty Diagnosis Group Config practice template, expand the Manage Diagnosis Groups and Codes panel. From the Add Diagnosis Group grid, select the desired record. Note: To find a newly created group, select the View Dx groups created/modified today option above the grid. The name of selected diagnosis group appears above the Assigned Diagnosis Codes grid. In the Assign Diagnosis Codes to Group section: In the Description field, enter the few characters of desired diagnosis description. For Type, select a code type: ICD-9 or ICD-10. Click Search. The diagnosis codes matching with selected search criteria appear in the Search Results grid. Select the desired diagnosis code from the search results and click Right arrow icon. The assigned diagnosis code appears in the Assigned Diagnosis Codes grid. To move all the codes from Search Results grid to Assigned Diagnosis Codes grid, click Move all icon. Create a Diagnosis Group

On the Specialty Diagnosis Group Config practice template, expand the Manage Diagnosis Groups and Codes panel. Manage Diagnosis Groups and Codes panel on the Specialty Diagnosis Group Config template Under the Add Diagnosis Group grid, enter the Diagnosis group name and Description in the corresponding fields. Select an age group: Adult/All or Peds (pediatric). Select the Active check box. Click Add/Update. The newly created diagnosis group appears in the Add Diagnosis Group grid. Managing Diagnosis Groups and Codes

You can create diagnosis groups and assign them to the diagnosis groups in the Manage Diagnosis Groups and Codes panel of the Specialty Diagnosis Group Config practice template. The NextGen® Orthopedic Suite comes with some pre-configured diagnosis groups. Manage Diagnosis Codes in a Diagnosis Group

You can remove diagnosis codes and change the order of diagnosis codes in a diagnosis group. On the Specialty Diagnosis Group Config template, expand the Manage Diagnosis Groups and Codes panel. Note: By default, all active diagnosis groups are displayed in the grid of the Add Diagnosis Group section. You can filter the values in the grid by selecting the View Dx groups created/modified today option or entering the desired value in the Show field. Select the desired diagnosis group from the grid of the Add Diagnosis Group section. The results are as follows: The details of the selected diagnosis group are filled in their corresponding fields of the Add Diagnosis Group section. The diagnosis codes associated with the selected group are filled in the Assigned Diagnosis Codes grid of the Assign Diagnosis Codes to Group section. Assign Diagnosis Codes to Group

In the Assign Diagnosis Codes to Group section, highlight a diagnosis group in the grid under the Add Diagnosis Group section. To search for ICD-9 or ICD-10 codes: Select the ICD-9 or ICD-10 option. Enter a value in the Description field or Code field and click Search. The diagnosis codes associated with the description matching the search criteria appear in the grid. Select a diagnosis code and click the button to move the selected code to the right grid. To move all the codes to the right grid, click the button. Click Save below the right grid to save the codes to the selected diagnosis group and clear all the fields in the Manage Reference Systems, Diagnosis Groups and Codes section. To remove a diagnosis code from the grid, do one of the following: Select a row and click Remove. To remove all the codes from the right grid, click Remove All.
