A list appears to select a procedure description associated with the code.
Select a description from the list.
The procedure description and the associated procedure code appear in the

field and
CPT code
field respectively.

and select a diagnosis.
The associated diagnosis code appears in the
Code
field.
If applicable, enter a diagnosis in the
Dx Descriptions 2
through
Dx Descriptions 4
fields.

Note:

To remove an entry from the grid, highlight a row in the grid and select

Auto Billing Functionality
The Auto Billing button uploads the billing data in the Procedure Billing panel. To turn on the autotomatic billing functionality, the value selected in the Documentation panel and/or the Findings panel must be associated with the procedure diagnosis and billing data such as Proc description, Proc code, Mod 1, Mod 2, Common diagnosis framework reference system, and Diagnosis group in the Procedure Documentation Config practice template. Note: In the Procedure Documentation Config practice template, if a value entered in the Documentation panel does not include a procedure code, then the system assigns default procedure code in the run-time template. Add a Diagnosis Code for Diagnosis
Select OK on the alert message. Select the procedure billing details in the grid. The data appears in the corresponding fields above the grid. Do one of the following: Select the Dx Description 1 and select the diagnosis code from the list. Select Cancel on the list. The diagnosis search window opens. Search and select the required diagnosis.The selected diagnosis and the associated code appear in the Dx Description 1 and Code fields respectively. If applicable, repeat the above steps for Dx Description 2 through Dx Description 4 to add additional diagnosis. Note: The diagnosis selected in the Dx Description fields uploads in the Today's Assessments grid on the Add or Update Assessment template. Select Update.If you add additional data in the grid, the Verify Charges button appears in the Procedure Billing panel. Upload the Billing Data in the Procedure Billing Data
In the Procedure Billing panel, select the Auto Billing button.The billing data uploads to the grid. The Auto Billing button becomes unavailable for selection. Note: To display a diagnosis code in the grid, you need to first select the Auto Dx button in the Assessment/Plan panel to upload the diagnosis details in the Today's Assessments grid on the Add or Update Assessment template. If you update or select the new values in the Documentation and/or Findings panel, the Auto Billing button becomes available for selection. Procedure Billing After the required billing data is available in the grid, select the Verify Charges button.The Charges verified checkbox appears. This checkbox is selected and cannot be cleared. Procedure Billing If a diagnosis code is not associated with the procedure code in the Procedure Documentation Config practice template, then an alert message appears to add a diagnosis code after you select the Verify Charges button. Link a Procedure to an Assessment from the Procedure Billing Grid
You can link a procedure to an assessment on the Finalize - OPH template. In the Diagnosis panel, select an assessment in the Today's Assessments grid. In the Procedure Billing panel, select a procedure. In the Diagnosis panel, click the Link Diagnosis to Procedure button. Note: To assign more than one diagnosis code to a test or procedure, you have to use the Tests and Procedures Update - OPH template. tests and procedure update - oph template The assessment's code appears in the DX1 field in the Procedure Billing grid. Document Procedure Billing
On the Finalize template, go to the Dermatology Procedure Billing panel. Select Show Dermatology Charges only. If you select Show All Encounter Charges, any general procedures entered also appear in the grid. The dermatology procedure details are available in the grid. Double-click the dermatology procedure details in the grid.The Procedure Billing template opens. Update the information, if required. Click Save. To add another set of procedure billing details, click Clear For Add. When you have entered all the required procedure billing data, click Close.The data appears in the data grid in the Dermatology Procedure Billing panel. To verify the charges, click the Verify Charges button.The selected Charges verified check box appears. To prevent the charges for the encounter from billing, select the Surgery Hold check box. Add a New Procedure Details
You can enter additional procedure details when needed in a patient record using the Procedure panel. Select Site and select a procedure site from the list.A list of procedure categories opens. Select a procedure category from the list. A list of procedures opens. Note: Procedure is linked to a site on the Procedure Config practice template. Select a type of procedure from the list. Select Pre Procedure Diagnosis to open the diagnosis search window and select a diagnosis.The selected diagnosis and the associated code appear in the Pre Procedure Diagnosis field and Code field respectively. Select the Indication link to start the Procedure indications template. Procedure indications The pretexts for the indications appear in the Pretext grid. Select a pre-text from the Pretext grid.
