Associate Multiple Assessments to a Procedure

Tests and procedures can be linked to multiple assessments using the Tests and Procedure Update - Oph template. Double-click a row in the Procedure Billing grid. tests and procedure update - oph template The Tests and Procedure Update - Oph template opens. To link the procedure to multiple assessments, click the Dx 1 field.A window opens with a list of today's assessments. Select a diagnosis from the list. Review Procedures and Tests for Billing

Review procedures listed in the Procedure Billing grid. If appropriate, select one of the billing check boxes in the Procedure Billing panel. Procedure Billing in Ophthalmology

Providers can handle procedure billing for NextGen® Ophthalmic Suite, including linking procedures to one or more diagnoses on the Procedure Billing panel on the Finalize - OPH template. The Procedures/Tests grid displays procedures performed during the encounter. Bill a Procedure

Click Procedure and select a procedure from the list. The list includes procedures selected in the current encounter. A list appears to select a procedure description associated with the code. Select a description from the list. The procedure description and the associated procedure code appear in the Procedure description field and CPT code field respectively. Click Dx Description 1 and select a diagnosis. The associated diagnosis code appears in the Code field. If applicable, enter a diagnosis in the Dx Descriptions 2 through Dx Descriptions 4 fields. Click Add. The documented procedures appear in the grid. Note: The diagnosis selected in the Dx Description fields uploads in the Today's Assessments grid on the Add or Update Assessment template. To remove an entry from the grid, highlight a row in the grid and click Remove before submitting charges. Click the Verify Charges button. The Verify Charges button hides and the selected Charges verified check box appears. Click Submit to Sup

Add a Diagnosis Code for Diagnosis

Click OK on the alert message. Select the procedure billing details in the grid. The data appears in the corresponding fields above the grid. Do one of the following: Click the Dx Description 1 and select the diagnosis code from the list. Click Cancel on the list. The diagnosis search window opens. Search and select the required diagnosis. The selected diagnosis and the associated code appear in the Dx Description 1 and Code fields respectively. If applicable, repeat the above steps for Dx Description 2 through Dx Description 4 to add additional diagnosis. Note: The diagnosis selected in the Dx Description fields uploads in the Today's Assessments grid on the Add or Update Assessment template. Click Update. If you add additional data in the grid, the Verify Charges button appears in the Procedure Billing panel. Note: If the value is not associated with a procedure code, then the system uploads the default procedure billing code available for each procedure in the Procedure Documentatio

Upload the Procedure Diagnosis in Today's Assessment Grid

In the Documentation and/or Findings panel, select the values that are associated with the procedure diagnosis. Expand the Assessment/Plan panel and click the Auto Dx button. The Add or Update Assessment template open. The system uploads the procedure diagnosis in the Today Assessment grid. Add or Update Assessment Update the assessment details in the Today's Assessments grid. Click Save & Close. The diagnosis details appear in the grid.
