Submit to Supervisor Settings Grid

The NextGen® Orthopedic Suite looks first to the Provider master file in the File Maintenance to determine if a provider requires supervisor signoff. The Supervisor Required setting in File Maintenance assumes signoff is required on 100% of encounters.

You can use the Submit to Supervisor Settings grid to override the requirement for 100% supervisor signoff for providers who only require supervisor signoff for certain encounters.

Adding a provider’s name to this grid displays the Send to Supervising Physician button on the Finalize Visit template for encounters with that provider. The button gives the provider the option to submit the encounter to the supervisor for signoff.
