Document Diagnoses and Lab Tests

You can document diagnoses and lab tests, and place orders for pre-operative lab tests.

1. On the Coordinator template, in the Medical Clearance panel, click Lab Order 2.
   The Lab Order 2 template opens.

   

2. To add diagnoses to a lab order, do the following:
   1. Click DX Codes.
      The IORTSLabOrder Dx Sx template opens.

      Note: The Diagnosis grid on the IORTSLabOrder Dx Sx template displays the orthopedic or medical history of the patient depending on the selection at the top of the grid. You can add, edit, and remove diagnoses on this template.

      

   2. In the Diagnosis grid, double-click the diagnosis.
      The selected diagnosis is added to the grid on the right side.

      Note: You can add up to four diagnoses to the lab order. If you add a diagnosis by mistake, you can remove it by clicking the corresponding eraser icon.
   3. Click Save & Close.
      The IORTSLabOrder Dx Sx template closes. The diagnoses details are added to the diagnosis grid on the Lab Order 2 template.
3. In the Labs and Testing sections, select the appropriate check boxes for the tests performed.
4. Click Save & Close.
   The Lab Order 2 template closes. The diagnoses and lab tests are added to the lab order on the Coordinator template.
