Field	Description
Patient Notified	To indicate if the patient has been notified about the details of the surgery. You can also use the document icons to generate the following documents. Outpatient Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) patient letter Outpatient hospital patient letter Inpatient hospital patient letter
Hosp. Booklet Mailed to Pt.	To indicate if the booklet from the hospital has been mailed to the patient.
ASC Booklet Mailed to Pt.	You can indicate if the booklet from the ASC has been emailed to the patient.
INFO Sx Booklet Mailed	To indicate if the surgery information booklet has been emailed to the patient.
Post-Op Instructions Mailed	You can indicate if the post-operative instructions have been mailed to the patient.
PT 3rd Letter	You can select this option to generate a letter to inform the patient about the recommended physical therapy. You can click the PT 3rd Letter document icon to generate a letter for the recommended physical therapy.
O&P 3rd Letter	To generate a letter to inform the patient about the recommended orthotics and prosthetics. You can click the O&P 3rd Letter document icon to generate a letter for the recommended orthotics and prosthetics.
Implant Card Mailed	To indicate if the implant card has been emailed to the patient. You can also select the type of implant from the options. If you select Other, you can enter the implant type in the blank field.
Create/Send Clearance Letter	To create and send a clearance letter.
Patient to Call to Schedule	You can select this check box to indicate that the patient needs to make a phone call to schedule a surgery. By default, this check box is automatically selected or cleared based on the selection on the Surgery Sched template.
1 of 2	You can select this option if the current surgery is the first out of the two surgery orders placed.
2 of 2	You can select this option if the current surgery is the second of the two surgery orders placed.
Patient Notification Letter	You can click this document icon to generate the patient notification letter.

Generate Surgery Orders and Clearance Letters

You can generate surgery orders, lab orders, and clearance letters. On the Coordinator template, in the Medical Clearance panel, you can generate surgery orders, surgery plan documents, clearance letters, and lab orders. You can configure the document generation for the following documents based on the surgery location and admit type in the Surgery Scheduling - Document Generation panel on the Document Config system template. Updating Surgery Order Details

You can update the details of a surgery order on the Surgery Order Management template. The following table describes the fields that can be updated on the Surgery Order Management template. The read-only fields on the Surgery Order Management template display the details of surgery orders from the Surgery Sched template. Field Description Authorization You can click Get, and select the authorization number from the Authorizations window. You can also manually enter the value in the Authorization field. Labs You can select the appropriate option for ordering labs prior to a surgery. Testing You can select the appropriate option for ordering tests prior to a surgery. Meds You can click the Meds Complete check box to indicate that the medication details are entered. Tracking Surgery Orders

You can track surgery orders, add coordinator notes, and generate various documents and patient letters on the Coordinator template. The Coordinator template is intended for surgery schedulers and coordinators, and it displays the surgery details documented on the Surgery Sched template. You can use the Coordinator template for tracking the schedule and clearance of surgeries. You can also generate surgery order documents and patient letters. Place Surgery Orders

You can document the details of the surgery, and place surgery orders. On the Surgery Sched template, you can document the details in the following panels, and then place the surgery order in the Place Order panel. Surgery Information Surgical Risk Index Pre-Surgical Checklist Medical Clearance Histories Insurance Lab/Testing On the Surgery Sched template, expand the Place Order panel.
