Update Submitted Injection or Aspiration Details

You can update injections or aspirations details even after they are submitted for billing using the admin override functionality.

After you complete the documentation of an injection or aspiration procedure and submit the charges, the procedure record becomes locked. If you have administrative override rights, you can unlock the record to make changes or document additional information.

Administrative override does not remove any charges already submitted; those must be adjusted manually.

  1. Open the MICS Injections/Aspirations template.
  2. Select Admin Override.
    The system confirms if you want to override charges on this encounter.
  3. Select Yes.
    The submit button appears, and the Admin Override button is replaced with the Admin Override text.

  4. From the Injection/Aspiration Procedures grid, select a procedure record to be updated.
    The procedure and medication details for the selected injection or aspiration appear in the corresponding fields in the Procedure Type panel.
  5. Update the required details, and select Add/Update.
    The updated record is saved to the Injection/Aspiration Procedures grid.
  6. Select Submit.
