Administrative Override

You can update the medication details for dispensed or administered medication even after submitting the charges using Admin override functionality, if you have administrative override rights. Administrative override does not remove any charges already submitted; those must be adjusted manually.
  1. Open the MICS Med Management template.
  2. Select the Admin Override button to unlock the template.
    The system prompts you to confirm that you want to override charges on this encounter.
  3. Select Yes.
    The Submit button re-appears and the Admin Override button is replaced with red text that says Admin Override.
  4. Select the record to be updated from the Completed Medication grid.
  5. Do one of the following:
    • Correct any incorrect documentation such as side, site, and lot number by clicking in the desired fields.
    • Waste a medication.
  6. Select Submit.
