Reason for Adjustment

Use the Reason for Adjustment grid to build a picklist of reasons why medication inventory is being adjusted. This picklist opens when you select the Reason for Adjustment field in the Medication Inventory panel of the Inventory Management template. Note: The Reason for Adjustment field is visible only when the Adjust option is selected. Mode of Transfer

Use the Mode of Transfer grid to configure the picklist that opens when you select the Mode of Transfer field in the Transfer Information panel of the Inventory Management template. The Mode of Transfer grid picklist is used for means by which medication inventory is transferred to other locations (For example, Courier, Transported by clinical staff). The Mode of Transfer grid has no pre-loaded entries. Since you cannot type into the Mode of Transfer field, to enter anything in the field, you must add at least one entry to the picklist. Waste, Adjust, Transfer Panel

The Waste, Adjust, Transfer panel has grids to configure the picklists for the Reason for Waste, Reason for Adjustment, and Mode of Transfer fields on the Inventory Management template. These fields appear when you select one of the radio buttons below the Medication Inventory grid. The Reason for Waste, Reason for Adjustment, and Mode of Transfer grids list items alphabetically. You cannot change the sort order. Waste Panel

Use the Waste panel to view waste transactions for a selected medication. The grid shows the date, medication name, quantity wasted and reason for waste. View Waste Transactions Parent topic: Inventory Management Template

View Waste Transactions

You can select any medication in the Inventory grid to view all occasions when it was wasted through this application. Filter the Inventory Grid. Select the medication. Expand the Waste panel. The waste dates, quantities, and reason for waste appear in the Waste grid. Parent topic: Waste Panel

Waste a Medication after Saving it to the Grid

Select the medication from the top grid of medications given today. The medication details fields in the panel fill in. Select the Clear button. A query window asks if you want to waste the medication. Select Yes. The MLT Dbpl Waste Reason picklist opens. Select the reason and click OK. The fields clear. The medication is marked as wasted and removed from inventory. To enter a new medication lot number, follow steps under Documenting Medications Administered for an Injection.
