Reason for Waste

Use the Reason for Waste grid to add reasons to the picklist for why a medication is being wasted. This picklist opens when you select the Reason for Waste field in the Medication Inventory panel of the Inventory Management template or when you select to waste a medication from the medical record templates. Note: The Reason for Waste field is visible only when the Waste option is selected. Mode of Transfer

Use the Mode of Transfer grid to configure the picklist that opens when you select the Mode of Transfer field in the Transfer Information panel of the Inventory Management template. The Mode of Transfer grid picklist is used for means by which medication inventory is transferred to other locations (For example, Courier, Transported by clinical staff). The Mode of Transfer grid has no pre-loaded entries. Since you cannot type into the Mode of Transfer field, to enter anything in the field, you must add at least one entry to the picklist. Waste, Adjust, Transfer Panel

The Waste, Adjust, Transfer panel has grids to configure the picklists for the Reason for Waste, Reason for Adjustment, and Mode of Transfer fields on the Inventory Management template. These fields appear when you select one of the radio buttons below the Medication Inventory grid. The Reason for Waste, Reason for Adjustment, and Mode of Transfer grids list items alphabetically. You cannot change the sort order. Update an Adjusted Medication

Once the grid loads with the medication and adjusted quantities, you can update the quantity before sending it to the main inventory grid. Select the medication from the grid. The number in the New Qty column into the New Quantity field below the grid. Change the quantity in the New Quantity field. Select Update. Parent topic: Import Inventory Adjustments

Medication Picklist Template

Each of the panels in the Medication Picklist template has grids that correspond to picklists on configuration templates or medical record templates. Use the grids to configure the picklists for managing inventory and administering medications. Adjust Medications

You can adjust the quantity of non-vaccine medications in the medication inventory. On the Inventory Management template, expand the Medication Inventory panel. Select the Adjust option below the medication grid. The fields below the medication grid, except the Qty field, are disabled for editing. The Reason for Adjustment field and Adjust Quantity button appear below the medication grid. Filter the medications displayed in the grid for selecting the desired medication. Select the medication to be adjusted from the medication grid. The following fields are automatically filled based on the selected medication. Source Drug Name Manufacturer NDC Lot# JCode Unit Type Expiration Dt Barcode In the Qty field, enter the quantity to be adjusted in the inventory. Note: To adjust the quantity by a negative amount, you can add a negative sign to the quantity. Select the Reason for Adjustment field, select a reason from the adjustment window, and then select OK.
