Adult Vaccine Questionnaire	You can select this link to document responses from adults for the vaccine screening questions on the Vaccine Screening Questions - Adults window that opens.
Child and Teen Vaccine Questionnaire	You can select this link to document responses from teens or children for the vaccine screening questions on the Vaccine Questions for Children and Teens window that opens.
Specialty	You can select this field, and select an appropriate specialty from the specialty window. After you enter the specialty, the selected value is defaulted in the Specialty field on the following templates of the NextGen® Medication Inventory Control, and the Specialty field becomes read-only. Ordering Provider	You can view the name of the ordering provider in this read-only field.
Prepared By	You can select this field, and select the preparer of the injection from the surgeons window.

Documenting Immunization Administration Details

You can document the administration details of vaccines ordered for a patient. On the MICS Immunizations template, in the Immunization Administration panel, you can view the vaccines ordered for the patient, and document the administration details of vaccines. In the Immunization Administration panel, you can do the following: Open the website of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to view the immunization schedule for all immunizations Document vaccines administration, and the patient’s response View patient's allergies Document any ordered vaccines as not administered View the patient’s immunization history View CDC Immunization Schedules You can view Center for Disease Control (CDC) immunization schedules for a patient. Order a Vaccine

You can order a vaccine from the Create New Immunization Order for [patient name] template. On the MICS Immunizations template, expand the Immunization Ordering panel. Select New. The Create New Immunization Order for [patient name] template opens. Do one of the following. If the vaccine is available in the Select Vaccines grid, select the vaccine. To search for a vaccine that is not in the grid, search the vaccine using Search All button and select the vaccine. If an Age/Interval window opens, select Yes to continue. If the Review Allergies window opens, select the appropriate option, and select Save. The Review Allergies window closes and the selected vaccine appears the Assign Diagnosis to Selected Vaccines grid. Select Save. The Create New Immunization Order For [patient name] template closes. Ordering and Administering Immunizations

You can order vaccines, and document immunization information on the MICS Immunizations template. On the MICS Immunizations template, you can use the links and fields appearing above the Immunization Ordering panel to document the preliminary details for ordering and administering vaccines. The first three icons in the QuickPick toolbar are disabled on the MICS Immunizations template, and you can only use the remaining functions in the QuickPick toolbar. Adding Preliminary Details for Injections and Aspirations

You can add preliminary details for documenting injection and aspiration procedures on the MICS Injections/Aspirations template. The following table describes the fields appearing above the Procedure Type panels on the MICS Injections/Aspirations template, which are used to add preliminary details for documenting injection and aspiration procedures. Field Description Consent was obtained You can select this check box to indicate that the consent was obtained for performing the procedure. This information is added to the patient’s file and office visit document. Procedure/risks were explained You can select this check box to indicate that the procedure and the risks associated with it were explained to the patient. Adding General Information for Dispensed Medications

You can add general information for documenting dispensed medications on the MICS Dispensing template. The following table describes the fields on the MICS Dispensing template, which are used to add general information for dispensed medications. Field Description Prepared by You can click this field, and select the preparer of the injection from the providers window. Specialty You can click the field, and select an appropriate specialty from the specialty window. After you enter the specialty, the selected value is defaulted in the Specialty field on the following templates of the NextGen® Medication Inventory Control, and the Specialty field becomes read-only. MICS Imms MICS Injections/Aspirations MICS Med Management Sub-Location You can click this field, and select the sub-location for dispensing medications. Documenting Injections and Aspirations

You can document joint injections and aspirations for a patient. On the MICS Injections/Aspirations template, you can document joint injection or aspiration procedures for a patient encounter. You can use the fields appearing above the Procedure Type panels to add the preliminary details for documenting injection and aspiration procedures. The Procedure Type panels have the procedure type automatically selected as injection or aspiration based on the configuration in the Injections & Aspirations Provider Panel Defaults panel of the Admin Configuration template.
