Insert Radio Buttons

Before you begin Ensure that the Enhanced checkbox option in the Preferences tab of the Template Properties window is selected to make the Extended tab and the Large Icon and Push checkboxes available in the General tab of the Insert Radio Button window. You must set the Universal Preference for Enable Radio Button Clearing to True in System Administrator to allow users to clear a selected radio button. You can log on as a KBM admin in Template Editor to modify the properties of NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine templates. Insert a Label Field

Drag the Label icon from the Fields toolbar to the template design area where you want to place it. The Insert a Label window opens. Note: The label name is automatically assigned in the Name box. You can enter a name of your choice. If necessary, select a mask from the Mask list. Enter the text to appear on the label in the Caption window. Note: Instead of entering the caption here, you can use in-place caption editing to enter the caption directly in the field after you have created it. To reposition and resize the field on the template, do the following: Enter the appropriate numeric values to replace the current vertical and horizontal coordinates displayed in the Position boxes. Enter the appropriate numeric values to replace the current dimensions displayed in the Size boxes. To do the following, select the checkbox: To apply a style to the label, select the applicable Style checkbox. The Preview window shows you what each label style looks like. You can apply one or more styles.

Insert a Note Field

The note field is saved as a Globally Unique Identifier (GUID) file only if the contents of the field have been changed and the Disable Saving Blank Notes Universal Preference is set to True in System Administrator. In a trigger condition or value calculation, to check if a note field is empty, use the ISEMPTY string function. The maximum data size for a template is 7940 characters. The total data size is the sum of the length of all data entry fields. A message box appears when you try to add or modify fields and you have reached the maximum data size. Drag the Note Icon from the Fields toolbar to the template design area where you want to place it. The Insert Note window opens. Note: You may need to enlarge your template to make room for the note field. The Make Public check box appears on this window only when the note field is on a sub template. Define the table. If the template is saved, the Table text box automatically displays the template name. If the template is not saved and

You can enter the % symbol in the Caption box to replace the numeric values. The % takes the value from the start number and number of buttons. Note: Instead of entering the caption here, you can use in-place caption editing to enter the caption directly in the field after you have created it. Set General Properties for Multiple Fields

You can set certain properties at the same time for multiple fields of the same or different field type on the General Field Properties window. Do one of the following: Select the first field, and select CTRL as you select the other fields. When all the fields are selected, right-click, and then select Properties from the shortcut menu. Select SHIFT as you select each field, and from the View menu, select Properties. The General Field Properties window opens. You can set the following properties depending on applicability to the selected field types: To hide the field when the template is opened, select the Hidden check box. To enable the label through tabbing, select the Tab Stop check box. To set the size manually, select the Auto Size check box. To enable the Click and List Pick events and resulting actions at run time, select the Enable Click check box. To copy data from one encounter to another, select the Copy Data Forward check box.
