Insert a Button Field

Drag the Button icon from the Fields toolbar to the template design area where you want to place it.The Insert a Button window opens. Insert a button window In the Name box, enter the name of the button. In the Caption box, enter the text to appear on the button. You can enter the % symbol in the Caption box to replace the numeric values. The % takes the value from the start number and number of buttons. Note: Instead of entering the caption here, you can use in-place caption editing to enter the caption directly in the field after you have created it. To reposition and resize the field on the template, do the following: Enter the appropriate numeric values to replace the current vertical and horizontal coordinates in the Position boxes. Enter the appropriate numeric values to replace the current dimensions displayed in the Size boxes. To apply a style to the button, select the applicable checkboxes under Styles. The Preview section shows you what each button style looks like. You can

You can put a primary image and an alternate (hover) image on a button. The alternate image appears when you hover your mouse over the button. The images can be in .bmp, .jpg, .png, or .ico format. The image files are stored in the Template Image path set up under Universal Preferences in System Administrator. Hover images must be named after the primary image with a suffix of _hov. For example, if the primary image is named anteriorchamber.bmp, the hover image must be named anteriorchamber_hov.bmp. Select the Extended tab on the Insert a Button when you create a button, or the Button Properties window for an existing button. To access the Button Properties window, do one of the following: Select the button field, right-click, and then select Properties. From the Menu bar, select View, and then select Properties. Do one of the following: The Picture list contains images available from the active images stored in the Template Image path. Select the image you want from the list if it is

Add a Group

You can create a group with template and sub-template controls on the #Groups window. Open Template Editor. Open the required template or sub-template. On the main toolbar, select #Groups .The Group Detail window opens. Select Groups button.The #Groups window opens displaying the user-created and available implicit groups in the system for the selected template or sub-template. Enter the group name in the Name field. Select the required control type from the Control Type Association list. Note: By default, the control type is set to None. Enter a comment to represent the group in the Comment section. Select Add.The group is added. Select OK. On the Group Detail window, select the added group from the Group list. To filter the template fields, select the required field type from the Filter list. Note: By default, the filter is set to All. In the Available Template Fields section, select a field to add to the group. Note: If you want to select multiple fields, select and hold SHIFT, or C

Manage Template Properties

Always review the existing fields tab order after you create a new template. Make any necessary changes to the default fields tab order. Open the Template Properties window. The Fields Tab Order tab appears by default. In the Fields Tab Order tab, do the following: Select a field. To move the field up or down in order, select the Up or Down button. To move the field to the top or the bottom in order, select the Top or Bottom button. In the Font and Color tab, do the following: To change just the font size, select the Size up or down arrow to select a new size. From the Style list in the Font and Color tab, select the new style. To change the entire font, select Font to display the Font window. Select the font, font style, and size. If applicable, you can select another language script. Create an Imaging Component Toolbar

You can create an Imaging Component toolbar for easier access to imaging components. Access the Imaging module. Right-click the displayed image, or from the Main menu select one of the following: Imaging Components ToolBars > Current Toolbars Imaging Components ToolBars > My Preferred Toolbars The Imaging Component ToolBar Selection window opens. Imaging Component ToolBar Selection Do one of the following: In the window, right-click, and then select New. Select the Open Menu button, and then select New. The Imaging Component ToolBar Builder window opens. Note: Use the Imaging Component ToolBar Builder window to import new or edit existing imaging components, and to add, edit, or delete imaging component sets. Imaging Component ToolBar Builder Enter a name for the Imaging Component toolbar. If necessary, add a description or additional information for the toolbar in the Note field.
