Insert a Button Field

  1. Drag the Button icon from the Fields toolbar to the template design area where you want to place it.
    The Insert a Button window opens.

  2. In the Caption box, enter the text to appear on the button.
    You can enter the % symbol in the Caption box to replace the numeric values. The % takes the value from the start number and number of buttons.
  3. To reposition and resize the field on the template, do the following:
    1. Enter the appropriate numeric values to replace the current vertical and horizontal coordinates in the Position boxes.
    2. Enter the appropriate numeric values to replace the current dimensions displayed in the Size boxes.
  4. To apply a style to the button, select the applicable check boxes under Styles.
    The Preview section shows you what each button style looks like. You can apply one or more styles.
  5. To hide the button field when the template is opened, select the Hidden check box.
  6. To create multiple buttons on the template, select the Create batch of buttons check box.
    The Starting number and Number of buttons boxes are enabled.
    • In the Starting number box, enter the starting numeric value.

      The range of starting number is between 0 - 20, and if you enter an integer above 20, a message appears saying "Enter an integer between 0 and 20".

    • In the Number of buttons box, enter the total number of buttons to appear on the template.

      The range of number of buttons is between 0 - 10, and if you enter an integer above 10, a message appears saying "Enter an integer between 0 and 10".

  7. Select Script It.
    The Script Clipboard window opens with the script of the label.

    To copy the script to clipboard, select Copy to Clipboard.

  8. Do the following for additional tabs:
    • To set up properties for the name, size, and style of the font and the text and background color and alternate color for a hover image caption, select the tab.
    • To add picture and hover images to the button, select the Extended tab.
    • For other options, select the Advanced tab.
  9. Select OK and save your template.
