View the Patient Information Card

When you open a patient's chart, the patient's information appears on the Patient Information Card (PIC) in the default expanded view. The PIC's position is fixed and always visible from any clinical module or template within the NextGen® Enterprise EHR workflow. You can collapse the PIC when you need more workspace for other modules or templates.
  1. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
  2. Search for and select a patient from Patient Lookup window.
    The patient chart opens and the expanded view of the PIC appears by default.

  3. To collapse the PIC, select button.

  4. To return to the expanded view, select button.
  • Viewing Patient's General Information You can view a patient's general information on the Patient Information Card (PIC), including non-demographic and social history information.
  • Viewing Patient Demographics Information You can view up to three types of patient demographics information on the Patient Information Card (PIC).
  • Viewing Encounter-Based Information You can view the primary care, referring and rendering provider information on the Patient Information Card (PIC), and also up to 12 template links to document encounter-specific details of the patient.
