Modify Patient Information

You can update the patient's information on the Patient Information Card (PIC) through the Modify Patient Information window. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from Patient Lookup window. To modify the patient's information; on the PIC, do one of the following: Select the patient's name. Select Profile Options, and then select Modify Patient from the list. The Modify Patient Information window opens. Make the desired changes, and select OK. View the Patient Information Card

When you open a patient's chart, the patient's information appears on the Patient Information Card (PIC) in the default expanded view. The PIC's position is fixed and always visible from any clinical module or template within the NextGen® Enterprise EHR workflow. You can collapse the PIC when you need more workspace for other modules or templates. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Search for and select a patient from Patient Lookup window. The patient chart opens and the expanded view of the PIC appears by default. To collapse the PIC, select button. Note: In the collapsed view, you can select Profile Options to view and select templates that are available in the expanded view of the PIC. To return to the expanded view, select button. Send Messages to Patients

Before you begin Ensure that the patient is enrolled in Patient Portal. You can initiate a message from the Patient Information Card (PIC) and send it to a recipient in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. You can attach a template, document, image, email, or report to the message. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from the Patient Lookup window. On the PIC, select New Message. Note: The New Message button appears only when the patient enrollment is complete in Patient Portal. The icon indicates that the enrollment is complete. The Patient Portal Message window opens with the recipient’s name in the To field by default. You can change the recipient or add recipients from the To list. Verify the recipient's name, enter the subject, and message, and then select Send & Chart. If you do not want to add the message to patient's chart, select the Do not add to chart option under Send & Chart. Add Patients to NextGen Care® Population Management Hub

You can add a patient from the Patient Information Card (PIC) in NextGen® Enterprise EHR to the My Lists tab in NextGen Care® Population Management Hub. For more information, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest NextGen® Care Population Management Hub User Guide for NextGen® Enterprise. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from Patient Lookup window. On the PIC, select Profile Options, and then select Add Patient to My List from the list.The Save as My List window opens. Under the Update Saved List section, select the list name, and do one of the following: To include patients from both lists, select Merge. To replace all patients in the existing list, select Override. Select OK.The patient is added to the My Lists tab in NextGen Care® Population Management Hub. On the PIC, select Profile Options, and then select Add Patient to My List from the list. The Save as My List window opens. Under Update Saved List, From Name, select the required existing My List name. Select Merge to include all patients from both lists or select Override to replace all patients in the existing list.
