Manage Patient Information Card at Practice-Level
You can customize the appearance of the Patient Information Card (PIC) at the practice level with System Administrator rights. You can edit or remove patient information data fields and template links.
- Open File Maintenance.
- Under Master Files, select EHR, and then select Application Appearance.
The EHR Application Appearance window opens displaying the preview of the Patient Information Card (PIC), Quick Buttons, Encounter History, and Categories for the Deafult configuration.
- Select the required configuration, and then select Edit.
The Edit EHR Application Appearance Configuration window opens displaying the layout of the Patient Info tab by default.
- To change or remove a data field, select the corresponding Edit link.
The Data Field window opens, where you can select an alternative existing data field from the list under the Select a pre-defined data field section, or create a custom data field and display a label under the Select a custom data field section.Note: You can configure a maximum of three data fields on the first row, and another 16 on the next four rows. The Patient Name field is not editable.
- To change or remove a template link (Referring Provider, HIPPA, so on.); from the template links row, select the corresponding Edit link.
Note: If the practice configuration has multiple template links, you can select and drag the horizontal scrollbar to view all the template links that may be hidden. You can configure up to a maximum of 12 template links.The Template Link window opens, where you can select an alternative template from the Medical Records Template, Medical Records Popup Template, and Demographics Template categories, or select No Template to remove the template link.
- To enable NextGen® Enterprise PM alerts and visual indicators; in NextGen® Enterprise EHR, under the Alerts Button Settings section, select the Display PM Alerts in EHR and Display PM Visual Indicators in EHR check boxes.
- Select Save.
