Track Patient During an Appointment

You can view and update the time and current location of the patient during an office visit. For more information on patient appointments, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest Getting Started Guide for NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine.
  1. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from Patient Lookup window.
  2. Select an encounter dated Today, or create an encounter.
  3. To view a quick summary of the patient tracking records for the visit, on the Patient Information Card (PIC), hover over Patient Tracking.
    The Patient Tracking table appears displaying information on the appointment time, room, status, recorded time, and documenting person.

  4. To view more details of the appointment and update the room and tracking status; on the PIC, select Patient Tracking.
    The Todays Patient Tracking window opens displaying the patient tracking data, appointment information, and room and status options to view and update.
