Set up the Orders Auto Release Utility
- To set up the Auto Release criteria for your practice, on the Auto Release Form window, select the Plus + sign.
The Details window opens.
- For the Instance Name, enter your practice's user-defined name.
- For the Process Time, enter the time the system releases the future and recurring orders.
The system releases the future and recurring orders based on the due date selected when the order was created in the Orders module, and according to the number of days specified in File Maintenance Auto Release Orders Due In practice preference. For example, if you set up 3 days in the Auto Release Orders Due In field, the system releases the order 3 days before the scheduled due date.
- In the Practices section, select the practices for this Instance.
- Select Add.
The Auto Release Form window displays the added instance (that is, the practice's user-defined name) and the process time.
- Select Activate Selected Instance.
The Security Log On window opens.
- Enter your User ID, Password, and Domain associated with your Windows® log on credentials.
The Auto Release Form window closes and the Auto Release icon displays in your Windows System Tray/Notification area.
- Minimize the Auto Release Form window.
CAUTION:Do not exit the Auto Release Form window. If you close the window, the Instance will not run.
The Recurring and Future orders will automatically release based on the scheduled time and due date parameters.
Note: After you set up the Auto Release utility, if you change the number of days the orders should be automatically released in the File Maintenance Auto Release Orders Due in preference, you must restart the Auto Release utility.
