Managing Pharmacy Information

On the Pharmacy tab, you can enter up to two preferred pharmacies for a patient. Pharmacy information includes name, address, and phone and fax numbers. The information is saved for established patients with an existing chart, and for new patients when the chart is created. Information on the Pharmacy tab is stored at the practice level; therefore, each practice can enter and maintain different information for a patient. Note: Pharmacies entered from the Patient Information window update the Patient Demographics template for the patient in NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and vice versa. Managing Employer Information

On the Employer tab, you can enter employer information for a person or patient, including the name, address, and phone and fax numbers for the employer. In addition, you can enter the person or patient's occupation and employment status. Information on the Employer tab is stored at the system level; therefore, all practices in all enterprises share the same information for a person or patient. Managing Demographic Information

On the Demographics tab, you can enter general information for a person or patient, such as address, demographics, contact phone numbers, contact, insurance, and notification methods for the patient. If your practice is licensed for EDI, the link appears on this window. When you select the link, the EDI Messaging window opens where you can view the patient's notification preferences for balance reminders, appointment reminders, and recall plans. Managing Chart Details

On the Chart Details tab, you can enter additional information for a patient's chart in NextGen® Enterprise PM. The tab includes up to 8 user defined fields that can be set up in Practice Preferences and then used to collect patient information that is not already a standard field within the application. The tab also includes default rendering and referring providers, and marketing plan information for the patient. The information is saved for established patients with an existing chart, and for new patients when the chart is created. All demographic records have a system-assigned person number and are part of the Master Person Index (MPI) in the database.
