Managing Employer Information

On the Employer tab, you can enter employer information for a person or patient, including the name, address, and phone and fax numbers for the employer. In addition, you can enter the person or patient's occupation and employment status. Information on the Employer tab is stored at the system level; therefore, all practices in all enterprises share the same information for a person or patient. Managing Pharmacy Information

On the Pharmacy tab, you can enter up to two preferred pharmacies for a patient. Pharmacy information includes name, address, and phone and fax numbers. The information is saved for established patients with an existing chart, and for new patients when the chart is created. Information on the Pharmacy tab is stored at the practice level; therefore, each practice can enter and maintain different information for a patient. Note: Pharmacies entered from the Patient Information window update the Patient Demographics template for the patient in NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and vice versa. Person Data Collected

The procedure to add a new person is the same in NextGen® Enterprise EHR, NextGen® Enterprise PM, and NextGen® Optical Management, but the data collected by each application differs, as shown in the following table. Managing Chart Details

On the Chart Details tab, you can enter additional information for a patient's chart in NextGen® Enterprise PM. The tab includes up to 8 user defined fields that can be set up in Practice Preferences and then used to collect patient information that is not already a standard field within the application. The tab also includes default rendering and referring providers, and marketing plan information for the patient. The information is saved for established patients with an existing chart, and for new patients when the chart is created. Managing Status Information

The Status tab appears only when the Enable patient status option is enabled on the Chart practice preferences. You can select a specific status for a person or patient in the practice, and also document a reason for changing the patient's status. The Immunization Registry Information section of the tab appears only when the Show Immunization Registry Patient Status in PM check box is enabled on the External practice preferences. In this section, you can enter immunization information for a patient in the practice that is needed for submission to an Immunization Registry.
