Command	Description
Provider Signoff Details	Displays the current signoff status, rendering provider, provider reassignment (if applicable), and comments for a patient document.
Send to Patient Portal	Opens the Patient Portal Document Export window to export a document, image, or SAP® Crystal Reports® to NextGen® PxP Portal for patients enrolled in NextGen® PxP Portal. Note: If the document is sent to NextGen® PxP Portal, the icon appears next to the document icon.
Patient Portal History Details	Displays the audit trail of a document that is sent to NextGen® PxP Portal.
Recategorize	Opens the Recategorize this item window.
Properties	Displays the document and encounter information, file properties, and user permissions for a selected patient document.

View Existing Patient Documents

You can view the existing patient documents on the Encounter History or the Categories tab. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a patient from the Patient Lookup window. Select the appropriate encounter on the Encounter History tab and select the icon. The Encounter Details window opens. The icon to the left indicates the signoff status. If you do not see the document icon, select button on the Encounter History or the Categories tab. Select the document link to open the document in the designated viewer. Note: If the system detects a possible mismatched file format, it attempts to determine the actual format of the document and load it. If the document does not display properly, you can change the file format in the database to match the format in which the document has opened, or you can select a different document viewer. NextGen® PxP Portal Document Export

You can export a patient document from the patient chart in NextGen® Enterprise EHR to the patient NextGen® PxP Portal account. You can export the patient document from the Encounter History or the Categories tab. Note: NextGen® Enterprise EHR enables you to export documents to the patient's NextGen® PxP Portal account in a number of other ways: From the File menu, you can select Export Patient Documents, or can select Patient Portal > Documents > Send EHR Document. You can create a custom rule in the Provider Approval Queue (PAQ). You can set up a Launch Document template trigger in Template Editor. Signoff Patient Document

In NextGen® Enterprise EHR you can sign off (accept) each patient document. If the Provider Approval Queue (PAQ) is enabled, you can sign off the document either in the PAQ or directly in the Documents module. When a document is accepted in one location, it is automatically listed as accepted in the other location. If the PAQ is not enabled, you can only sign off the documents in the Documents module. Open Encounter Components

Before you begin Ensure that Access Rights in Rights > OPERATIONS > Encounters > View Encounter Summary is set to Yes in System Administrator to view the clinical data on the Encounter Summary window in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Note: When Access Rights is set to No, the data on the right side of the Encounter Summary window is hidden. View the Patient Portal History Details

When you send a NextGen® Enterprise EHR patient chart item such as a document, image, or SAP® Crystal Reports® to a NextGen® PxP Portal, the system creates an audit trail. The system also records when the patient opens the item from the NextGen® PxP Portal. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a NextGen® PxP Portal enrolled patient from the Patient Lookup window. To view the history details of an item sent to NextGen® PxP Portal, do one of the following: Select the Encounter History tab, Select an encounter, and select the button to open the Encounter Details window.
