Options Available for Patient Chart Items

The options available for patient chart items are as follows: Option Description Provider Signoff Details Displays the current signoff status, rendering provider, provider reassignment (if applicable), and comments for a patient document. Send to IHVDI This option is not compatible with NextGen® Enterprise EHR 5.6 and above. The same functionality is available using NextGen® Document Management. Clinical Reconciliation Opens the Clinical Reconciliation window for the C-CDA documents. Send to Patient Portal Opens the Patient Portal Document Export window to export a document, image, or SAP® Crystal Reports® to NextGen® PxP Portal for patients enrolled in NextGen® PxP Portal. View History of an Item Sent to NextGen® PxP Portal

When you send a NextGen® Enterprise EHR patient chart item such as a document, image, or SAP® Crystal Reports® to a NextGen® PxP Portal, the system creates an audit trail. The system also records when the patient opens the item from the NextGen® PxP Portal. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a NextGen® PxP Portal enrolled patient from the Patient Lookup window. To view the history details of an item sent to NextGen® PxP Portal, do one of the following: Select the Encounters tab, Select an encounter, and select the button to open the Encounter Details window. Select the item to view the details, and select the button. View and add Provider Signoff Comments

Before you begin You must use the latest version of SAP® Crystal Reports®. You can view the current signoff details and comments from the previous provider for a pending, rejected, or signed-off PAQ item on the Encounters or Categories tab for a selected patient document, image, SAP® Crystal Reports®, or HTML object. You can add the provider sign-off comments for a signed-off or rejected PAQ item. The added comments are displayed in the Communication Component grid. If the PAQ Copy Signoff Comments preferences are turned on, any comments you enter for a document, or image linked to a lab or radiology order are copied to the Sign-off and Tracking Comments section of the order in the Orders module. Send Patient Documents

Before you begin To send the NextGen® Document Management images to NextGen® PxP Portal, ensure that the Rights > Operations > Imaging > Send Doc Mgmt Image to Patient Portal in System Administrator must be set to True and the necessary access rights must be enabled. If the right is set to No, the Send to Patient Portal option appears disabled for the selected image. You must also select the Patient Portal Accessible check box for the document type in File Maintenance. You can export documents, images, or SAP® Crystal Reports® objects from NextGen® Enterprise EHR to NextGen® PxP Portal for patients enrolled in NextGen® PxP Portal. View Patient Document Properties

You can view document and encounter information, file properties, and user permissions for a selected patient document on the Encounters or Categories tab. For more information on properties of documents signed off by multiple users, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Multi-user Document Signoff Guide for NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from the Patient Lookup window. Before you begin Ensure that Access Rights in Rights > OPERATIONS > Encounters > View Encounter Summary is set to Yes in System Administrator to view the clinical data on the Encounter Summary window in NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
