Signoff Patient Document

In NextGen® Enterprise EHR you can sign off (accept) each patient document. If the Provider Approval Queue (PAQ) is enabled, you can sign off the document either in the PAQ or directly in the Documents module. When a document is accepted in one location, it is automatically listed as accepted in the other location. If the PAQ is not enabled, you can only sign off the documents in the Documents module.
The Signoff Status Icons indicate the signoff status of the patient document in the Encounter History or Caretories tab.

  • - Rejected
  • - Accepted

  1. Generate a patient document.
  2. Make any required changes. You can enter the information directly into the document and use the standard formatting toolbar options.
  3. Select File and select Save.
  4. Select the accept icon on the Document bar of the viewer.

    A message appears, stating that the document has electronically signed.
