Viewer Document Menu

You can display an action menu for the patient document currently open in the viewer. To display the document menu, you can right-click the Document Bar or anywhere in the patient document to display the following menu. The table below describes each command. Command Action Document Bar Hides or shows the Document Bar. Button Bar Hides or shows the Button/Icon Bar. Ruler Bar Hides or shows the Ruler Bar. Insert Page Break Inserts a page break in the patient document at the cursor location. Insert Image Inserts a selected image in the patient document at the cursor location. The Select image window opens. Insert Patient Image Inserts a selected patient image in the patient document at the cursor location. The Select image to insert window opens. For TX Text viewer only, right-click the Ruler bar or Icon/Button bar, and then select Font and Layout. Attach Addendums to Patient Document

Before you begin To use addendums, the following settings are required in the System Administrator application: The Save As RTF Universal Preference must be set to False. Under Operations Rights / EHR Documents/Add Document Addendums, your user Access Rights must be set to Yes. The TX Text viewer enables you to attach an addendum to a signed-off patient document, if you have permission to do so. You can attach multiple addendums to a single patient document. The addendum feature is not available in the HighEdit or Word Application viewer. Note: You can attach an addendum to a third-party patient document after you sign off on it. If an update is received for the patient document, and document archiving is enabled, the updated document is sent to the NextGen® Clinical Message Manager. The update does not automatically overwrite the original document and any attached addendum.
