From the Acquire Report list, select Welch Allyn Exercise ECG.
The CardioPerfect® Workstation application starts and opens theNew Exercise ECG window.
On the New Exercise ECG window:
If needed, select the General tab and in the Test section:
Enter the Target heart rate or the percentage of the predicted maximum heart rate.
Select the Referring physician, Ordering physician, or Attending physician.
Note: If a physician does not exist for a particular type (that is, Referring, Ordering, or Attending), select the pertinent (Ellipsis) button to add one.
In the Protocol section:
Select the Exercise protocol that you want to use.
Select a Blood pressure protocol to indicate how you want to measure blood pressure during the test.
Select a Print protocol to indicate whether reports should be printed automatically.
Select the Test information, Test Observation, Interpretation or Comments tabs to add additional information about the test.
Select OK to save changes and return to the CardioPerfect® Workstation application.
The CardioPerfect® Workstation Real-time Monitor opens.
On the CardioPerfect® Workstation Real-time Monitor:
If prompted, switch on the recorder.
Select Start to start recording.
The CardioPerfect® Workstation application starts the first phase and stage of the test protocol and moves automatically to the next stage per the protocol.
To move to the next phase or stage manually, select the button that displays the name of the next phase or stage.
During the test, you can:
Measure the blood pressure
Capture an event
Add a comment
Apply a baseline filter to filter out baseline wander
Change the load
Pause the protocol
Print a report
When you have reached the end of the test, select Stop test.
If prompted, switch off the recorder.
The CardioPerfect® Workstation application displays the results when the test is completed.
If needed, confirm the interpretation of the results.
Close the CardioPerfect® Workstation application to return to the IEM.
A new Welch Allyn Exercise ECG report appears in the IEM grid and an (Equipment Report) indicator appears in the History toolbar under the encounter.
If you confirmed the interpretation, the Test Status column in the IEM grid displays Confirmed; otherwise, it displays UNCONFIRMED.
