You can generate a care guidelines report for the patient's record. You can use the ngsprep_care_guidelines stored procedure to generate enterprise-level reports that display all patient records (in alphabetical order) that are due for the specified care guideline or test. On the Care Guidelines Setup template, you can set up the guideline test items. Care guidelines consist of orderable items (previously known as protocols) and recommended care items. Some guideline items are performed within a specific time interval, indicated by a date in the Due column. Items with due dates are ordered, and items without a due date are listed as a reminder to review them with the patient and update their status without having to place orders. Before you use the Care Guidelines panel on the Care Guidelines templates, you must review and ensure that the guidelines that come with the application meet the needs of the practice.
